A fantastic multi-purpose 4k monitor for a modest price
Wow, this thing is wonderful. I purchased this after I had returned a Samsung curved monitor that arrived with splatters of dead pixels and I discovered that I did not enjoy the curved experience. I was worried this one might show up similarly damaged but NO, it was perfect! Zero dead pixels. It does include both an HDMI and a Displayport cable, which was awesome since other monitors usually come with one or the other. The cable management clip included is very welcomed. Putting the thing together was a breeze. I played a few rounds of Overwatch, did some roaming around in Subnautica and some bot matches of CSGO as a test and all performed admirably. I have a Vega 64 and it was able to deliver a butter smooth experience on High settings with free sync on and no overclocking. PC MASTER RACE gaming elitists will say you're better off with a high refresh rate 2k monitor at this size but I performed just fine with solid FPS across the games I tried and it looked superb doing so. My skills did not suffer at 60hz and your experience probably won't either. You're probably not chasing Top 500 spots in competitive shooters for a Mountain Dew sponsorship and professional gaming career. If you have a more modest graphics card, you may have a different experience so look out for that. The LG On-screen monitor control software is great! No more awkwardly fiddling around with a joystick to change monitor settings. Works for both Windows and Mac; you can find it on the included CD or download off the LG website with minimal searching if you don't have a CD drive. You can set it to automatically load a preferred profile based on your use; movie mode when opening a media player or photo mode when you open a graphic design program in both OS's so thats nice. I use this with macOS as well and it looks superb, definitely a rival for the LG 5k Apple display. Color is great and fine for intermediate design work and content creation but isn't 100% Adobe RGB so if thats you're cup of tea, might need to look elsewhere. I was perfectly happy after a couple of easy tweaks for my use. My only complaint is very small -- the included stand doesn't have a lot of tilt/height adjustments...but that's what VESA hardware is for. I was perfectly fine with it and would buy a VESA mount in the future if my needs change. TLDR: 10/10 product for mixed use gaming and content creation, would buy a second one.

Superb gaming and viewing experience
EDIT: After binging Stranger Things, I see the IPS Glow now. Impossible to unsee once you notice it. I recommend keeping a small/dim light on during nighttime viewing or lowering the monitor's brightness to around the ~50 mark to alleviate this issue. That aside- still a great display. The IPS panel in this display is top-notch. At least on my particular screen, I've never had issues with image retention or backlight bleed. Out-of-the-box, the color calibration was the literal best I had ever experienced, and even non-4K content really pops on this. (The internal scaler seems to handle 1800p, 1440p, and 1080p very, very well. For gamers who can't run everything at native 4K, don't worry: you have options!) The only issue is the stand, which is flimsy and frankly feels godawful. I'm going to replace it with a VESA mount at the first possible junction.

Very nice panel in a good-enough enclosure
This is a nice monitor. I got it for a little under $400, open box, and the only issue I'm able to find with it is two small magenta "smears" when the monitor is displaying pure black. When there's an image on the screen, or the monitor is off, I'm unable to tell that there's any kind of blemish. If I had to guess, this is not a defect so much as probably something caused by somebody mishandling the monitor, not wanting to be responsible for the damage they caused, and then returning it. I'm using it via a DisplayPort connection and it works just fine. I'm not interested in the dual input options or the ability to control the menu with the mouse, I pretty much just leave the color settings at sRGB with 50% brightness and go with it. I've not done any real hard color-comparing yet, but it appears to be faithful to reality. The included stand looks pretty cheesy; I have not used it, it was immedately screwed onto an Ergotron NeoFlex that I had lying around and it works very well that way. The picture made it looks like the VESA mount screws were very near the top of the monitor and that I wouldn't be able to get enough height, but it mounts up perfectly and has a very usable height range. The picture, from what I can tell without looking at it REALLY critically for a very long time, appears to be consistent from side to side, top to bottom, and at any reasonable angle. I'm impressed. Even at a bargain price it's still more than I've ever spent on a monitor, but it seems to be worth it. I like that the image goes nearly all the way to the edge on three sides and that there's no protruding border, it's all just nice and flush with the panel. Why not 5 stars? The back of the thing is cheesy; I don't like how the plugs just stick straight out, like they made this thing as bare-bones as possible. The power adapter is kinda cheesy too, but not too bad. Some MINOR nitpicks would be the standby light - it would be nice to have the option to have it "breathe" instead of just blink on and off, or just not be on at all. It can be turned off when the monitor is on, but it will blink on/off when in standby. Finally, whoever repackaged the monitor arranged it so that the panel was face up, right at the top of the box and not covered by anything to protect it. If I weren't a very experienced, sophisticated consumer, I'd have gone through with the knife when opening the box and destroyed the panel. Be careful!

Nice display for a budget price
I bought this when I started working from home. I like the 4k resolution, because it lets me use Windows in high-DPI mode for sharp text. The color accuracy, viewing angle, screen consistency, all seem quite good. The brightness doesn't go as high as I'd like ideally, but for a budget display it's pretty much what I'd expect and adequate. The build quality is fairly cheap, but I get that they have to build it to a price so it's fine. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

I'd like to point out that this isn't an "Ultra Wide" monitor like the seller has in the title. You guys got that totally wrong so you better change it, I was already well aware of this considering that I'm a tech reviewer, although it's definitely misleading to non-technical people. The aspect ratio on this monitor is 16:9 with a resolution of 3840x2160 @60Hz, now if you're looking for an ultra wide monitor, that would have an aspect ratio of 21:9, in which this monitor does not offer. I really didn't want to write a review for this monitor, although I've already made it this far so I might as-well just do one. Despite the misleading title, this monitor is fantastic in every way - and I've saw a lot of monitors in my life. The one thing that I really wish LG never included though is the stupid "Gaming" features, it's just a marketing gimmick, and in my honest opinion this is WAY more of a professional monitor than a gaming one (Hence the IPS, colour calibrated panel and 99% Adobe sRGB coverage). There's this one gaming feature though, it's called the "black stabilizer" (Brightens dark scenes so you can see the enemy better) and it's automatically set to 50% by default which really screwed me up with my video/photo editing and in general made 4k content looked washed out, but once I turned that right off, by the gods, I immediately saw much much better image quality now that I was getting those deep blacks. In contrast this is a great monitor, go buy it. Check out my review here: [...] PS: I've included a picture of this monitor beside an actual ultra wide monitor for scale. A perfect display for processing and presenting photos and working in CAD. Due to the size of the display, a photo will show its best if it's equal or larger in size (3840 x 2160). Moreover, a perfect fit will look even better if the photo was shot at 16:9 aspect ratio. Windows 10 will recommend a display adjustment of 150% or fonts and other features will be hard to see. If more monitors are attached to a computer, a colour calibration will ensure consistent appearance on all of them. This 27" monitor's narrow border around the display makes it equal in width with a 25" Samsung T260 (or similar). Its actual resolution is 165 dpi - which is almost twice the resolution of a 27" FHD display (89 dpi, measured on Samsung T260). The attached images are processed for display resolution comparison only.

The transaction and shipping was A1. I connected this screen to my eGPU (Razor Core X + AMD RX 5700XT) on a MBP 2018. The resolution and controls are great for casual gaming and day-to-day work. The whole monitor wobbles when you try to change the settings with the joystick underneath (this monitor is designed with a short base attached at the bottom, not a VESA stand). The screen mate finish is difficult to clean, it leaves traces that can be seen when the room light is normal during the day (I tried different monitor cleaning product and special cloth, same result). Considering returning the monitor.
