I recommend buying this if you buy the Haswing cayman trolling motor. Makes it easy to remove the trolling motor when not In use. Especially on a pontoon boat with a front gate or high step trailer.

It is a very nice piece and would have given it a better rating except for they didn't run it through QA. Had some burrs in one of the hole and destroyed the hole it needed to bolt it to the trolling motor. Bolt seized up tight. Thought it was a lot of money for a hunk of molded plastic. I gave them feedback on it and never got an answer...

Yes, just buy it. There is no sense not having it. Makes mounting a breeze plus when you dont need the motor, you just yank it off. kinda pricey for what you get ( a piece of plastic block ) but the convenience is worth it!

Fit great. Worked as it should

The quick connection for the locking mechanism is a little sloppy. Turning on and off the trolling motor makes the motor jump ever so slightly. This causes small hairline cracks in a fiberglass boat. I ordered some three quarter PVC board or some people call it starboard to give this bracket more rigidity! I suggest you use long sturdy heavy duty bolts with big nylon washers

The quick release was well priced, easy to install and performed as expected

This has been a great accessory for me. I have a kayak that I concocted a wooden base plate to mount a trolling motor on the stern. I screwed this quick release adapter to the base plate. Now all I have to do to remove the trolling motor to transport the kayak is to pull the stainless steel U-shaped pin out of the quick release and remove the motor.Incidentally, the Haswing trolling motor with the wireless remote has worked well so far on my kayak.
