Installed on my Pontiac 467 with 10.5 compression w/ lumpy cam. Almost half the weight of the original, installed easily. Shims not required. Did not turn it as fast as I was expecting but was faster than stock and she fired right up. Been in for few months with no issues.I shopped around a lot and AMAZON had the best price plus shipping. Not downing anyone else but I work hard for my money and try to spend it wisely when I can.

Worked fine for my 72 cutlass 442 clone. Still too close to the header, so I'm gonna have to wrap the starter in a heat shield blanket.Starts the 400 motor just fine

It fits 68 Firebird with Doug’s headers 421 and manual trans. Didn’t have to adjust anything but I did torque the small bolts for the drive gear, It cranks fast on 11-1 compression engine, installed with no shims. very happy with purchase

Starter works great. I had an issue with the set screws in the clocking mechanism vibrating out and allowing the starter to bind and rotate. I simply added thread locker to the screws and havent had any issues since. I never loosened these from the factory so it may be something that needs to be addressed during assembly.
