Das Buch gibt einen sehr guten und kompletten Überblick über Delphi / Object Pascal und bietet bei den einzelnen Themen eine sehr tief gehende Beschreibung, so dass auch Fortgeschrittene hier auch noch Tips und Tricks finden können. Der Aufbau des Buches ermöglich es auch sehr gut, dieses als Nachschlagewerk heranzuziehen.

I am often stuck in paleoinformatics (maintenance of old programs) and this book definitely helps.

Good on core language features
Useful and up-to-date guide by one of the authorities of the Delphi world. It could say a lot more about 3rd party packages that are available and package management and UI toolkits that are available and that are commonly used.
