It doesn't smell like a real Xcelite
It kind of takes the joy out of owning Xcelite tools when they don't reek of Butyl Rubber for the first month or two of use. Still, it was well made and a great replacement for its predecessor that failed after a mere 40 years of hard use by me (and probably another 20 by my father before me. Xcelite makes the best screwdrivers!

Great replacement
My father's old kit (over 30 years at least) was fine except for the beat up handle after years of abuse. New one was a Christmas gift and holds all the blades just like a new set!

This handle is just right for a strong but comfortable grip. My go-to handle for all type '99' tools.

Made in China NOT USA - Handle TIGHT !
The description reads: Country of origin USA. This is false. The package that mine came in says Made in China. The print on the handle reads Xcelite and in smaller letters Weller. The handle fits tight just like other reviewers have described. Actually too tight! I had to put the allen driver I had in a bench vise to shove the handle on it. Then couldn't put it back out without using the vise again! The only remedy for this was to rapidly work the handle on and off about three dozen times while in the vise. I can now pull the driver out without using the vise but it's still tight. Xcelite claims that this a precision tool, this is clearly not the case.

Handle is tight.
The new handle may not be the exact replacement. It's a little tighter but still works OK.

Perfect Fit
This handle fit my existing xcelite set perfectly. Id lost the handle and looked for ages to find a replacement. This was the one.

Not made in USA
Second time purchasing this item. The first one was an original made in the USA xcelite version. I thought I'd get a second one to keep at home but this version was made in China.Still xcelite product but stamped Wellar instead of USA. The package stated made in China.The retaining mechanism on the newer one is extremely tight. Have to really use force to get the screwdriver blades in and out. Hopefully it will loosen up with time. The mechanism is different than the USA made handle. Otherwise it looks the same.
