Healthy and Gluten Free
Was looking for an alternative to wheat and other gluten flours. This one is gluten free and has a pleasant taste in baked goods. It does require that you add xantham gum to help with binding the flour in baked goods - since jowar is naturally gluten-free.Overall, the texture of baked goods and flavor is nice and similar to wheat or other gluten flours.

Great millet flour that’s well packaged
I always take my flour out of the original packaging the first time I use it, but I appreciate being able to store the unopened pack like a brick on my pantry self. The flour is fresh and has that rustic flavor, and I use it for both instant and fermented jowar dosas.

Works Just Fine. Vacuum Seal is only Before it Opens
I'm really confused about why people are so upset about a vacuum seal. When I got it it was double bagged and only the inner bag was vacuum sealed. I simply cut the inner bag open and it immediately loosened. I used it just like any other flour. What's the big idea or fuss about it being solid before it's open? It goes right back to loose as soon as you open the bag.I've been looking to reduce lectins and this is one of the two lowest priced organic sorghum flours. I wish it was sprouted but it's not advertised as such so I can't ding them for that.I just baked bread and if all doesn't go well I'll update but it seemed pretty normal to me upon preparation.

I was afraid to open it, but it's good!
It was as hard as a brick, and I was afraid to open it, but I contacted the company, and they assured me that the hardness was because of the vacuum seal. I've about used it up now, and it makes some very good pizza crust and other baked items.

BUYER BEWARE-- NOT GLUTEN FREE
I'm sure this product is fine. However, it was a complete waste of money for our family. A wheat flour alternative that is not gluten free is as useful as the ridiculous sunbutter that is not peanut free. If my family could have wheat, I would buy wheat flour! I would not get sorghum flour mixed with traces of wheat. I have only bought Bob's Red Mill before so it just never occurred to me there were manufacturers ignorant enough to process sorghum flour on the same equipment as wheat. It is my fault for not looking more closely because they do not hide the fact that it is not gluten free. Don't make my mistake!

its USDA organic certified! but is hard as a brick..
ive seen a lot of bad reviews on this. i have purchased this before and personally didn't find the product to be old. i used it but it did come in a vacuum sealed bag that was as hard as a brick. seems to me that they know how to compact it correctly but if flour being compressed is concerning to you then you should not buy this.**i feel safe buying this because it is USDA certified. look into how items get this certification.i refuse to purchase food items from india unless they have been certified by a usa gov. agency.

Great for baking and gluten free starter.
First time getting sorghum. It baked up well and worked excellent in my gluten free starter.

Flour fused into a brick.
Product is flour but it looks solid like a brick. Tried to contact seller or return or replace. It says that product is not returnable. Waste of money as product is not usable.
