Lovely book
This is an absolutely beautiful book. Not only the content, but the book itself! It has wonderful little sketchings throughout that are just delightful.I would highly recommend it to anyone who has children or works with them. It has so many fun ideas on how to encourage kids to engage with nature and their outdoor environments. The activities are also written in a lesson plan format, so very helpful for teachers. Most of the activities could be modified for yards, parks, or schoolyards.

Nature learning and fun
The media could not be loaded. I bought this when my oldest was in kindergarten. We used it heavily then for adventuring around outside, making walking sticks, magic wands from nature items and collecting narrow TREASURES. I still love having this book sitting out on my coffee table for my kids to page through. We homeschool too, so it's been through it all.

My principal ordered this book for our school but I liked it so much I ordered one of my own so I can keep it handy. It has fewer activity ideas than some of the other books I ordered, but they are the BEST ideas and worth doing again and again. Very specific, wide age range, and with various categories such as arts, games, etc. My favorite was the journey stick, which wasn't what I expected--not a walking stick at all. Fun stuff I can't want to try with my K-2 classroom!

Small and simple but fun
Smallish book with ephemeral art and some game ideas. If you or your child isn’t outdoory or hasn’t spent much time playing in nature it’s a great start however it has a bunch of stuff that I did as a child who grew up on 40acres like stick shelters, mud faces, and journey sticks which I have fond memories of.

Great book for specific forest activities/games
I love that this book has SPECIFIC activities listed, as opposed to just writing about the importance of playing in the forest as most other books do. Many of the activities are for older kids as opposed to toddlers but it's really easy to simplify these activities for toddlers.

Great book! Bought this for my 6 year old and he’s approached activities on his own and we’ve also done some together as a family with his younger sis and brother. The activities, games, and crafts give you an opportunity to experience nature in a different way you may not have thought of before.

Full of fun, practical projects and games!
This book is perfect for those who are already familiar with the forest school philosophy and are looking for a resource with games and project ideas. We’ve done some of the crafts in our own backyard and look forward to doing even more on our forest adventures this summer!

Really Nice!
Love that this book has a more natural feel to it. Took a quick peak through the pages and it seems like there are tons of neat ideas for you to do in the woods - even some for the winter!

Fabulous forest school book
I do a lot of forest school and wild crew type interventions at work and this book just helps to keep things fresh. I've been doing them for two years, pretty much using the same 8 week session block. This book has given me a fresh look at what I do and new things to do, for example when doing a session on masks and why people might wear a mask, instead of painting a cardboard mask now I'm going to use clay to either decorate a tree or make a clay head that can be put on a stick and left ( this also links into change). I would recommend this to anyone involved in these types of interventions. One thing: I've bought this not my place of work, so if I move on this comes with me!
