![Shrek - 20th Anniversary Edition 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital [4K UHD]](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81vjUA5gsBL.jpg)

You've never met a hero quite like Shrek, winner of the first Academy Award® for Best Animated Feature. The endearing ogre sparked a motion picture phenomenon and captured the world's imagination with…the Greatest Fairy Tale Never Told! Critics have called Shrek "not just a brilliant animated feature, but a superb film on any level" (Larry King, USA Today). Relive every moment of Shrek's (Mike Myers) daring quest to rescue the feisty Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz), with the help of his lovable loudmouthed Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and win back the deed to his beloved swamp from scheming Lord Farquaad (John Lithgow). Enchantingly irreverent and "monstrously clever" (Leah Rozen, People Magazine), Shrek is an ogre-sized adventure you'll want to see again and again! Review: Hushed Silence, Please - I can't possibly attempt to review this classic. It's almost aimed more for adults than kids, but everyone will enjoy. If you know you know. This 4k transfer rates a 9/10. The HDR is bright and colors are pretty good. But, there are some issues with the color timing and banding during certain scenes. I'd recommend watching the film in Dolby Vision instead of HDR, if your player allows it. It's a better result, whisking away that pesky darkness so often found with HDR. Oddly, there's no Dolby Atmos mix. The DTS:x available will have to do. It's fine, and fills the room with bubbly performance doing justice to the killer soundtrack. Also, the extras included are fantastic. One 4k disc and two Blu-rays await your viewing pleasure. Every conceivable commentary, and more are all here. Best of all: Shrek the Halls ! The best Christmas special to come along in years. "I have shamed myself" "You weren't there!!" 🙂 Everything considered, I highly recommend this release. Review: Classic in 4K - Great Old Classic. Great to have in 4K to watch any time.

A Forgotten Jewel!
Purchased this in 4K to enjoy as the price was right and I couldn't believe how long it had been since I had watched it. I use a Panasonic 820 4K player and the video and audio quality is truly spectacular! Deep, rich, vivid colors, details I had never imagined were abundant! Blew me away! Very enjoyable!

Not really for kids, but they'll love it, too
While this is an animated movie, it's clearly not intended for the youngsters. It's loaded with double-entendres, which the adults will get, but the kids won't. Still, there's a lot here for everyone to have some great belly-laughs over. Mike Myers' Shrek is an ogre. He lives in a swamp, alone, and he likes it that way. That won't last long, though, as you'll see. That's when the hilarity starts. I bought the movie in its 4K Ultra high def version. The picture quality is stunning! The colors pop, the detail is clearer, and the sound is first rate. A standard blu-ray disc is also included, if you don't yet have a 4K TV and player. Either way, you'll love the movie.
