Review: Great taste and quality! - We've always enjoyed Mr. Kipling brand cakes and would typically buy them to bring back with us when traveling abroad. These new 'Trifle' flavored Bakewells are marvelously good! We really have enjoyed them and wish that Mr. Kipling UK company would introduce them to the American market. We've been pleasantly pleased to see that Mr. Kipling brand cherry and apple pies as well as their standard Cherry Bakewell tarts are now being manufactured in the U.S. However, it seems that the size of the pies manufactured here in the U.S. is a bit smaller. Review: Yummy, but is it really a Bakewell? - Eating these tarts is just a little bit like eating English Trifle, one of the very yummiest desserts known to man. As with trifle, there is sponge, fruit puree and a custard-flavored topping. They are just a tad less sweet than a traditional Bakewell tart, which is rather too sweet in my humble opinion. However, I miss the cherry atop the traditional Bakewell (which this company also makes), and I question whether a similar tart that does not include either smooth royal icing or that delicious cherry (which I always save for my last bite) can properly be called a Bakewell. These took quite some time to arrive from Britain, but they were absolutely fresh and altogether enjoyable. Put a cherry on there and you'd really have something!

I'd like to see an assortment of more UK foods etc.
Mr. Kipling Trifle Bakewell tarts were excellent, they arrived well before their expiration date: I think the original Bakewell tarts originated in the old town of Blakewell in Derbyshire, UK I'd like to see Amazon sell (UK's) John West's tinned RED salmon in USA Thank you!

Timely delivery
Despite delivered from the UK by mail, the delivery time was acceptable, the product, despite the delicate pastry, was undamaged and the taste was fresh.

We received a pack of these as a substitute on our Amazon/Morrisons order. We were very surprised at how nice and tasty they were and would definitely buy them again.
