Our well water tested barely over the legal limit for arsenic recently (.01) and we installed one of these filters under our kitchen sink for drinking water. We had the water retested and the filter worked well enough to get us back under the state recommendations. We were at .0108 and came down to .0067

Just what I was looking for

This and the Carbon Block Filter were purchased together to drop into an old Omni dual filter housing that was installed many years ago under the kitchen sink. My wife has allergies to the chemicals that are found in our tap water and, like a coal mine canary, lets me know if the filter is working or when it needs to be replaced. Over the past year or so we have tried other brands of cartridges but she would have allergy symptoms and was forced to drink only certain brands of bottled water. However, we have been using this Multi Stage PLUS Filter Cartridge for over a month and my wife is allergy symptom free. She is now able to drink this filtered water instead of bottled water which makes us both very happy. We will be monitoring her symptoms to see when we will need to change out the filter. I hope it lasts as long as advertised.Note that while the Carbon Block Filter dropped right into the Omni filter housing, the Multi Stage PLUS Filter was a tight fit and had to be pressed into place. I worried that pressing in the filter might crack the cartridge but that did not happen. This is probably only an issue with this older housing, but it still works great.

Filter seems to work well for our rather nasty tasting city water. We have a softener, but the city adds so much junk that the tap water is unbearably gross. With this filter system, we don't taste any of the tap water nasties - the only thing I can still detect is the feel of the salt in the softer water. (We have really hard water...the city website says 32 grains per gallon, so I don't think we can every totally filter out the dissolved sodium without going reverse osmosis). Lasts for a year. Awesome.

Just installed this two days ago. It is doing very little to almost nothing at removing chlorine from our water. The chlorine smell is overwhelming in our water and noxious chlorine fumes in our house after running the water.

Not much to say except it fits and works but is pretty expensive.

This is filter is the same price as the manufacturer's web page. The only difference is Prime shipping is free!
