I ordered this cleat but when placed on a flat surface, I could only get 3 of 4 feet to sit flush to a flat surface. It seemed like one side was welded at an angle. I returned it and the new one had all 4 feet sitting perfectly square to a flat surface. So far, after a few months no rust and looks great! The new one reminds me of my Snap-On tools, very good smooth and polished finish!

I’m an elementary school teacher. I had the boat cleat attached to the wall inside my classroom near the door. Then I used a paracord wrapped around the cleat with a loop on the end looped around the doorknob to prevent anyone from entering the classroom during an armed intruder drill. It worked well. Another teacher at my school saw this and several of us have implemented it in our classrooms.

Screws aren’t stainless steel and the screw driver end stripped on 3 of the 4 screws.. wouldn’t buy again

I ordered a used set to save a few bucks. Unfortunately, the repackaged goods came without the screws. Having to purchase replacement fasteners on my own basically brought the cost up to a new set

Feels and looks like a quality product, should last for the life of the boat..and then I'll remove them for the next.
