Worked perfectly and easy to install.

Works - and mins to install - works flawlessly
This lock assy only took mins to install. Suggest to check out online vids to see the process of getting the seal off and on (which is the hardest part) but super simple. My switch was going out and progressively got to point that we could not start a wash (would have to turn off/on with constant "dE" error). And when I say mins - two screws, pop the ring off the drum seal, unplug - plug in new one - two screws back in - put seal back in place - done! And we've had this in heavy use for several weeks and it works flawless. And it's identical to the factory one I pulled out - cannot see any deviation in the color or mfg - so if it's an aftermarket part, well you cannot tell. I checked online and the switch was much more expensive.

Part worked as intended
Popped this door lock sensor unit into my LG washing machine and it works again! Found it from this seller for the cheapest price and Amazon made delivery within 12 hours roughly!

Works! No more dE code on LG
Our washer is LG WM3470HVA. Has been a terrific washer for over 12 years. And then I started gettin dE about every 3 or 4 tries. Then I was getting it almost every time until I finally could not start the washer.There are 2 youtube videos I watched. One video where they replace the latch from the top and avoid touching the door seal. And another video where they use a spring tool to remove the door seal spring and then pull the seal back slightly to access the door latch mechanism.Our dryer is stacked on top of our washer, so we opted for the door seal method. Unfortunately I did not purchase the door seal spring tool, which would have made this job a lot more pleasant. I suggest you buy the door spring tool for about eleven dollars here on Amazon as I could jot find one in stock at local stores. We ended up using some hook tools and turned a one person job into a two person job.All in all I am extrememly hapoy with this new door latch mechanism. It worked immediately without the pesky dE error.

Took care of our bad switch - be sure and buy the spring clip spreader tool
Our LG washer has been acting up, sometimes not wanting to start because the door lock switch was becomming defective. We would have to hit the start button numerous times or jiggle the door to get the switch to activate. I purchase this switch and problem is solved. You must partially remove the large rubber door seal to get to this switch. To do that, you have to completely remove the large round spring clip that secures the rubber seal. The first time I replaced that rubber seal I did not own the special spring clip removal tool, and it took me hours to get the spring clip off and back on. This time, when I ordered this switch, I purchased 383EER4004A...... took just a few seconds using that tool. I hate to spend money on a tool I may only use one time, but it was worth the $15 - buy that tool if you are going to replace switch.
