Better than expected.
I had and sold the 100-400 because it just wasn't travel friendly. Great lens, but very big and heavy. I've been using the 70-300 with the 1.4 extender for awhile, but needed more reach. Saw the 2.0 extender for $100 off and decided to give it a try. I was expecting some degradation of the image, but so far it's great. The auto focus is very slow unless you switch on the distance limiter and then it's faster than my 35 1.4. However, I can't imagine why someone would use this set up for close focusing; this is definitely for long zooms. When you consider that the max range is 900mm in 35 terms (equivalent to an 18x binocular), that's incredible for the size, weight and price. If you have an XT5 with it higher resolution, you can crop for even more zoom, Wow. If I ever go on a safari photo shot, this is the one to take.

AF @ F11
TC does reduce the AF speed, TC does reduce the image quality too; I sold all my TCs, but if you want your high photo keep rate (TC can increase in-infocus rate), the TC is must. so I use these TCs in the photo keep needed, especially it can autofocus at F11 very fast.

Excellent reach, extreme close focus, high contrast, and solid build quality.
I’ve been using it with the XF70-300mm F4-5.6 on the X-S10. Amazing reach and sharpness. Continuous back-button autofocus responds quickly, tracking skittish birds and squirrels pretty well. At 300mm the max aperture is f/11, of course, but image stabilization in body and lens stays over 5 stops, and High-ISO performance is really good. Bursts of hand-held moon shots are uniform, clear, and stack into excellent super-resolution images. Magnification at close focus also doubles, of course, and background blur in macro shots is still nicely blurry at f/11, or even smaller apertures. The XF70-300mm has onion-ring bokeh highlights, and the 2X adds off-center dimples, which will displease some urban night photographers. For wildlife, wide-open aperture isolates subjects from blurry backgrounds very nicely, without apparent artifacts.

Well Worth The Price If You Have The Fujifilm Zoom Lens That Supports It!
I already own the 1.4X teleconverter from Fujifilm and use it with the XF50-140mm. I was hesitant to splurge on the 2.0X wondering if the extra magnification would be worth it over the 1.4X. I had also read that the 2.0X vs. the 1.4X did degrade the picture quality. If the 2.0X vs. the 1.4X does degrade the picture quality I guess you have to be one of those fold that does the "brick wall" picture quality test using a tripod. After a few days of getting used to handling the 2.0X on my XPro-3 I was very, very satisfied using my XF50-140mm F2.8 lens. I do use a Gariz half-case, and will probably use my Fujifilm grip adapter for longer outings with this equipment.Note, you do end up having higher numbered F-Stops. And you have to compensate with faster shutter speeds and higher ISO than you might be used with your stock lens.In other words there is no "free lunch". I have not used a tripod with the lens. I don't intend to unless the lighting or subject of the picture demands it. Hand held in decent light gets very good results. I'm eager to try some night moon shots with the 2.0x. just for fun. More power, even with my current combo would be needed I think if your into moon shots.I will be keeping both the 1.4X and 2.0X. It is like having three lenses in my zoom lens arsenal. Those that need the utmost performance/magnification of course should stick with "larger" zoom lenses, or "larger" fixed lenses if you can afford the ultimate performance. But for me this is a great compromise building on a lens I already have and love.

Adds reach and softness
It's a little soft. Not going to lie. It is very hard to get a tack sharp image with this teleconverter and the 100-400 superzoom. if you really need the reach then go for it, but just keep in mind the pics you get out of this are going to be a little bit soft. Also the max aperture is f/11 which, yikes.

It does what I needed for more telephoto photography!
Got it last month, it was $100 dollars less than the regular price, tested many shots with my Fujinon XF100-400mmF4.5-5.6, and the Fujinon XF80mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR. The result was very satisfying, especially with the XF80 macro lens. I am happy!

Great Tele
Sharp as it gets for a teleconverter but not as sharp on the 50-140mm as a native Fuji 100-400 at the same focal length. That isn't a negative IMO because when you need a 2X it does the job. Subjectively I feel it is noticeably sharper than any of the Canon TC's.

Excellent Glass
I had been debating whether to add the Fujinon 100-400 lens to my kit, but I thought I would first try this TC. I've only shot a couple of times with it, but I found the quality of the images to be just as good as those shot with the 55-140 with which it works. It really lets me reach out and grab that shot. You lose a couple of f stops, to you have to be careful under which light you use it.
