Q: Can it work with toilet kohler GP87449 ?

It's a universal kit which should work with almost any toilet. I have a Kohler and it works fine.

Q: How is this different from the 400A?

The PerforMax valve is different from the 400A in 3 ways, this valve has an adjustment range from 10 to 15 inches tall, this valves has a higher output of water going to the bowl and the valve comes with a flow regulator to make the valve fill the tank a little bit slower and much quieter. The 400A has an adjustment range from 9 to 14 inches, has a standard refill rate for toilets and has no regulator. The 400A is not recommended for toilets using less than 1.6 gallons because the flow of water to the bowl is not strong enough to refill the bowl. The PerforMax valve is best used with toilets that use less than 1.6 gallons to flush and can be used on older toilets as well. Q: Can the antibacterial blue toilet bowl cleaner tablets be used with this toilet fill valve?

Fluidmaster recommends strongly not to use chlorine or bleach tablets in your toilet tank. Using Chlorine tablets raises the level of chlorine in your water supply, these levels which are measure in parts per million can get as high as 1000 ppm. To put that into perspective most water sources only allow 1 to 4 parts per million in a water supply and these higher levels can have an effect on the working parts of your toilet. Fluidmaster specifically warns not to chlorine tablets in your toilet tanks. Use of these cleaners will void the warranty on Fluidmaster products, however if a bowl cleaner is desired Fluidmaster has a product called Flush n Sparkle. Fluidmaster products are warrantied and rated to be used in normal water conditions without any additives such as Chlorine Drop in Tablets.
