Thin, but that's not a bad thing (please read)
NOTE: I have the FoodSaver V3240 Vacuum Sealing System, so YMMV with other systemsIronically, I've had some serious issues vacuum sealing meat with thicker bags. It seems some of the thicker bag designs can cause fat and liquid to trap, preventing a good seal which then results in air. With these thinner bags, I've had excellent results with chicken, pork, steak and other meats. The only meats that one might run into issues with these for might be ribs that would puncture, but are already well curled and stretch the back. So I'd only look to the thicker bag designs when lots of bone (like ribs, maybe a T-bone) causes them to be punctured easily.I actually *LOVE* the 6" wide, the perfect size for most things I vacuum freeze. I tried the 11" and I find I really don't need anything bigger than 6" other than for ribs, even better than using an 8". It is because I find that if I'm storing larger pieces of meat, they aren't going to reheat well in the bag in the microwave any way. So I stick with chicken tenders, country style boneless ribs and boneless petite sirloin NY strip steak.I buy 10lbs on-sale, cook it all up on the grill, then vacuum seal -- and these thin bags seal well and tight around the meat -- and then freeze, always ready to microwave in the bag whenever we get hungry, or if I want to take something to work. I just cut a small, 1cm (0.4") cut in one corner, heat 90s on high, flip and heat for another 30-45s, as the bag fills with air and helps reheat the meat to the required temperatures. Just the perfect bags at the perfect price for the perfect solution.I really cannot stress enough how much the thicker bags aren't always the best for some vacuum systems, at least if you don't pre-freeze for 90 minutes (before bagging), and even after doing such. I really don't like the pre-freeze step, and with these bags, I don't have to. The juices seal in the best when I bag fresh. And I get real meat that has not been loaded down with preservatives or other additives, I have a "protein snack" that heats fast instead of reaching for junk, and it's cheaper than a lot of frozen options (who often have freezer burn themselves), all while I can wait to buy meat when it's on-sale.

I just keep buying them for a reason
I noticed that I have bought these 7 times before when I just reordered today. So, I wanted to do a 2024 review... Going to post in 8 inch and 11 inch for everyone who is wondering about there products.Compared to name brand FoodSaver rolls 1. FoodVacBags rolls are way cheaper for price 2. Get 2x as much 3. The air pattern honeycomb works really well for vacuum. 4. Seal just as good and never had a bad seal that wasn't my fault or well the machines!I Sous Vide and use for boiling, they hold up very well!.. I've had rice and what not in long term storage for several years, still tight!Makes a great dry cloths kit, emergency auto kit, or for camping stuff. EndlessI use the 11' and 8" mostly but just recently ordered 6" (sometimes using 8" is a waste). I like the fact there are a few different colors (Clear Black, and Metallic apparently). I like to use the clear for my bulk items and use the black for already prepared leftovers. Makes it easier to find really is all. Might have to figure out what to do with the metallic color just bc.One time I reached out to customer service bc I bought black when 8"clear was out. The next day the clear were in stock and refunded me the black to keep, so I ordered clear anyways.. Thanks for the bonus guys!Overall extremely happy with their products!!

Great value and function.
Great value and function. These bulk rolls seem to be of high quality and function as well as the name brand bags sold in the big stores. The 6" width works well for smaller packages. I purchased both 6" and 8" rolls and both were equally high quality with a design very similar to the name brand bags, with an air channel grid on one side and clear plastic on the other. I'm using these in a Food Saver 4980 from Costco and they function and seal as well as the Food Saver bags for a fraction of the price. The rolls are large and don't fit in the bag storage compartment until the roll diameter is reduced by using bags. Either cut with a scissors or just set the roll on top of the bag storage area and you can still use the built in cutter on the unit until the roll diameter is reduced enough to fit inside the storage and dispenser area.

Great Food Vac Bags!
These bags work great - and so much more of a value than the Foodsaver bags. I use them to package my homemade kielbasa, brats, and summer sausage. These are great because I can cut the bag to any length I need (12" for brats, 14" for kielbasa, and 24" for sausage). Haven't tried to reuse them after I've opened them but I don't see why they wouldn't work. Also, these are made to throw in a pot of boiling water or microwave to reheat food. Many of my sausage creations still need to be cooked after smoking - with these bags it makes it easy to cook to the proper internal temp in boiling water. The only negative to these bags is that when I got within about 6'-8' of the core, sporadically bags would not vacuum and seal properly. I didn't have that issue with the 8" wide bags. I could eventually get them to seal - it just took forever to do so. Not sure if it was my vacuum sealer or the bags but again no issues with the 8" bags.... so I think there was a defect in the 6" bags. Either way aside from the fiddling around to get 3 or 4 bags to seal properly - I'm definitely buying these again.

Cheaper than name brand bags, but don't seal when wet.
We use the bags to seal summer sausage for deer processing. The work great in our name brand Food saver vaccum sealer. Easy to use and cut at the length you need them. Plus they are much cheaper then the name brand bags. My only problem with them is if there is any liquid coming through the bag while vaccuming, the bag will not seal. Which means it looses its vaccum. We then have to wipe the bag out and try again. It is a pain, but doesn't happen to often. I will say this never did with the name brand food saver bags. So if you don't plan on vaccum sealing anything with liquid they are definatly worth the buy.
