I purchase a ridiculous amount with Amazon - living 15 miles from the nearest ‘town’ makes delivery services my go-to. That said, I have never left a product review but these barrels are so amazing I simply had to!Quality is top notch and the shipping was impressive considering this was personalized.

This barrel was a Christmas present. On Dec 27, I followed the directions to add water to the barrel. After 4 weeks the barrel still had leaks, so I reached out to the redheadbarrel customer service. They sent a container of barrel wax. I follow the instructions and used the barrel wax. Again after 4 weeks I still had leaks which appeated to be coming from under the staves. I contacted redheadbarrel customer service. They sent out a replacement barrel. . Let it warm up to room temperature and added the hot water. Had a few minor leaks that sealed within a couple of hours. Made several rotations of the barrel and had one leak that required a little barrel wax. Now no leaks at all. I am now aging some whiskey.Great responsiveness from redheadbarrel

This exact one was a gift. For myself, I have the non-engraved version and the whiskey that comes out of here tastes delicious! I actually set up the barrel (cured it and everything) and filled with whiskey prior to actually giving it as a gift. It does take some effort to cure it. Leaks are to be expected, but were fixed easily with the wax. The engraving is awesome. I made a custom graphic and sent it to the seller and it came out perfectly on the barrel.

2/22/2019 - Just recieved the barrel today. It is currently curing, but seems to have a really tight coopering. I was expecting some leaks, but it doesn't seem to have any. I will update the review as the process moves along and I get to taste the sweet product of my labours after the wine is finished aging. The engraving is spot on, the font in my image was custom designed and it hit it perfectly. The customer service team has been very helpful, and humorous throughout the process and seems like a really cool company. If everything goes well, I will be ordering larger custom chared barrels directly from the company website. Worth every penny and as of now, I would definitely reccomend this to others.

After soaking for almost two the barrel leaked alot. I called the company and sent two photos as they requested . They sent me barrel wax which did not work. The spigot that comes with it is cheap and low quality . The barrel never stopped leaking . I finally stopped it with wood wedges I cut from cedar shakes after driving and pulling nails to insert the wedges. I have several other barrels and never had this problem

This product came and shipped so quick! It was a wonderful design and custom look. The customer service was awesome, as the button to upload my custom design wish wasnt working, they helped me send it through an email and it turned out wonderful. I do think the price for a 1 liter barrel is a bit high. I should have gone with a two liter, as it was smaller than expected. Overall, it looks great and will make a great Christmas gift for my dad. Would buy again!

This was a retirement gift for my father. It was perfect and arrived well before expected! They did a great job on the engraving as well! It's also pretty large than expected. It was perfect! Thank you!

I gave this to my husband for Christmas. I bought the 3 liter size. I had it engraved with his name and “small batch”. He has really enjoyed this and it’s his new hobby. Great gift for someone who likes aged liquor and craft cocktails.
