My son needed this for revolutionary day at school. I ordered a few costumes and this one came first. This one is by far the best really good quality materials, especially on the jacket vest combo. The hat and wig are a little lacking, but I don’t mind because the rest is so well-made. It comes with a little knicker chief to fold boot looking bra or things some pants and a jacket with a built-in vest. Nice buttons on it and fits my very tall 11-year-old well. Well constructed and looks nice, I will just need to press it and possibly get a new wig.

This is a good costume. The strongest (and most prominent) feature is the jacket itself. Rather than being a cheaper blue material, it’s actually a velvet felt like material. It feels premium for something of this cost point for kids. It also has real metal buttons - which was not expected. The pants are about what you’d expect for any kid’s costume, and have an elastic waistband. The fake boot coverings are functional and mostly believable when worn. The hat arrives rather folded from the way it’s packaged which takes a bit to work out unfortunately. The fake little shirt works well and fills out the opening (thus pairing to the jacket well). The wig is a questionable aspect to this costume. Not because it’s poorly made or anything but because it doesn’t fit well with the other elements. It’s too puffy and prominent to fit well under the hat, prompting to wearer to decide whether or not to go with just the wig or just the hat. Overall this is a superior quality costume to most in its price bracket with the velvety soft jacket with metal buttons as a major standout.

The coat is stunning! The coat is so nicely made it made this purchase worth the money. The blue color is rich and the fabric is velveteen feeling. I like it so much I'll probably keep it as a keep sake for my son. My child wore this for his 5th grade presentation and it was a hit. However, the hat comes flattened and wrinkled and the wig is a big wild with curls on top (think Einstein). The pants came home from school with the fabric torn and pulled from the velcro of the boots tugging at the fabric of the pants. I ordered a hat and a wig from another listing before ordering this costume and was happy I did for a more structured hat and flatter hair.

The jacket is fairly well made and the material is nicer than I thought it would be. Hat came completely crumpled and I am trying to reshape it so it is useable. The fake boots are cheesy- but there is no set from any company that ever isn’t so I can’t fault this company. The product is fine and will work for my son’s project and Halloween costume. If I weren’t getting two uses out of it I’d say it was not worth the price.

This costume was easily one of the top 2 in my daughter's class. The only part that didn't work was the "boots" --> the material was nearly too tight on my daughter who has very thin legs, but these can be swapped out for any type of boot you may already have. The outfit: The details, perfect stitching, quality of fabrics, REAL buttons, fit, etc. were EXCELLENT. This is one of the best costumes I've ever purchased, and it will be donated to the class. It has enough coverage that you don't need to buy any special shirt to wear under it. It won't show. The wig: it serves its purpose. It's a little thin, but it does the job just fine. The hat: this was slightly wonky just because it's flattened during shipping. But, it's just fine. Sizing: we bought boys 10-12 and it fit my daughter (90+ lbs, 5ft 1, very thin).

Surprised how great quality this was. Bought for my kid's historical play and it was probably the best looking one of all of them. Fit well. Definitely recommend!
