A Lock to put a Smile on Your Face
This is a Great Door Lock! I mean, I never thought I'd see the day, when a door lock would put a Smile on My Face. This is the Coolest thing.First off, you should know that it's not like putting a regular door lock on, so you Will need to follow the directions. But once you get it installed, you can tell right away that this is something special. It has a nice quality look and feel to it and the functionality is exceptional. At this point, it should be noted, that you can't lock the door with the key. But that's not really a big deal, you just push the lock button before you close the door. Now, this is the Good part. Imagine you have an arm full of stuff and need to get outside. All you have to do is hook a finger on the handle and pull the door open. It automatically unlocks and opens with just a pull. No more having to set the stuff down and open the door. Coming in is a breeze too (providing the door is unlocked). You just push the door handle and the door opens. No more struggling to get the door open with an arm full of groceries. This is a Wonderful door lock and you'll be glad you got it. 🙂

Loved this at first, but had STICKING ISSUES
Loved the idea of this after a neighbor showed me. Installed in July 2020 and loved the ease of coming and going through door to my garage. However, the door handle began to seemingly randomly "STICK". NO MATTER HOW HARD I PUSHED, PULLED, ROTATED, SHIMMIED, OR BANGED ON THE DOOR/HANDLE, I COULD COULD NOT GET THE DOOR HANDLE TO OPEN. Thankfully, each time I happened to have one other door to the house still unlocked. Once inside, I could open the stuck door lever no problem, but with some force on the lever. This started happening more frequently. Amazingly, due to other doors being open each time, I happened to never get fully "locked" out by this lever, but easily could have. This past Saturday when it did this again, I decided enough was enough and that I was not going to wait around until I am fully locked out.I REMOVED THIS LEVER AND REPLACED WITH NORMAL LEVER STYLE FROM KWIKSET. Still quite easy to open with my elbow and so on going to and from the garage. Happy with my replacement so far, and since the mechanism is much less complicated than this Brinks one, I expect it to last. TRYING NOW TO SEE IF I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK FROM BRINKS. I would not recommend to anyone after this issue. I had a standard knob style which is harder to open with hands full, dirty, so on. I should have just replaced with a standard lever, not this Brinks complicated door lever.

Push, pull but with a push-button lock? Don't accidentally lock yourself out.
Updated review: So I completely forgot about my review for this thing. We've been using it for 3 1/2 years now. That first week or so was annoying when we locked ourselves out but for all of my house guests and visitors, it just hasn't been a problem. The push, pull, twist is great. We have it installed on French doors to the deck. With arms full of groceries, you can kinda sweep it with an elbow and pull it open enough to get your foot through. Heading out with a tray of food, you just open it with your butt.We have some kids that are really rough on the handle so this might not be a problem for you but a few of times a year, the handle falls to the floor and you need to grab the hex wrench to tighten the handle. Last year I finally went to the hardware store to get a longer hex screw so it could be tightened down better. I haven't had trouble since.Pros: Very convenient, looks good onCons: It is possible to accidentally lock yourself out. Keep the hex wrench handy, to tighten the handle.Yes, hide a key somewhere. Yes, a twist design to the lock would be better. Yes, I would buy it again.Original review Feb 20, 2021: None of the pictures showed the interior side of the entry lock. I assumed this would match their other designs with a turn-type locking mechanism. Instead it has a button style lock like you might find on a bathroom door.I have had this installed for 5 days and it is way too easy to accidentally lock yourself outside. Everyone in the household has been locked out at least once because when pushing on the handle you will inadvertently also touch the lock. The concept of the handle is great but I am very disappointed with the lock. The only way to lock the door is via the button. You cannot lock it with the key.I hope support will have a fix or a work-around but I have a feeling I will have no choice but to return it.If you decide to buy it, don't make my mistake of getting the lock rekeyed until after you try it out for yourself and make sure you hide a key "under the mat."

Can force unlock from outside without key
I noticed that sometimes, if/when the door was slammed shut (it's an automatic closing door, and sometimes closes quite hard if it was open all the way), the push button lock would automatically engage, locking us out.At the time, I was unsure if the door latch had just gotten stuck, or if it had , so I forced it open by rotating the handle very hard. This opened the door.It wasn't until later that I realized that the latch wasn't getting stuck, but the door was actually locking itself. This made me realize that I was basically forcing the door unlocked with brute force (which should NOT be possible, as that's the basic functionality of a door lock). If you don't slam your door and find yourself in the same situation, it's a great lock and very useful when your hands are full.As a secure lock, I cannot recommend this door handle.

It's ok
I like how you can push the door open from the outside but the door can be hard to close because when you pull the handle you're also opening it, so you have to pull it gently to not engage the handle. We have also had this door knob jam closed multiple times if the door is slammed shut. We have to use our bodies to force it back open
