Wellness CORE Natural Wet Grain Free Canned Weight Management Dog Food, 12.5-Ounce Can (Pack of 12)

This is well made and well received as a topping for my kibble for my two fur babies. They love it! I have a bichon/poodle, and a standard poodle.

I recently switched my dog to Wellness Natural Pet Food CORE's grain-free canned food, specifically the Beef, Venison & Lamb flavor, and the results have been remarkable. The 12.5-ounce cans, coming in a pack of 12, provide ample supply and the quality of the ingredients is evident from my dog's improved energy and coat health. The grain-free formula is perfect for his sensitive stomach, and he absolutely devours it, which speaks volumes about the taste. It's reassuring to feed him something that's not only nutritious but also clearly enjoyable for him.

I bought the first back of the turkey, chicken and liver flavor locally to try it out. after transitioning her to it we noticed how much more regular she was and her "after meal business" was easier to pick up. she used to get diarrhea from so many other brands we tried. and while I have to say she loves the junky brands of dog food out there (the ones that are all by products and garbage you should not feed your dog) they were not agreeing with her system. finding a balance of quality food she will eat was not easy. she is a Crested, if you have one, you know they are picky. I got the dog as a rescue and had to have several bad teeth removed, so she needs a softer food to eat easily, this really fits the bill. the canned food is like a pâté. I give her 1/4 can twice a day with ground up with wellness core air dried kibble. I mixed them together so she gets a bit of something to chew with her last back teeth. her skin is looking great, and she put on a pound. is 8 pounds now. she licks her bowl clean. what I love most is what it does inside her- no more gassy dog on the sofa next to me, no more beef breath, no more wet runny mess in the grass to scrape up, no more dog straining for way too long to "go". if you have a picky eater, give it a try, it may be perfect for you. its much easier than cooking for your pup. I did get one can with a dent when I ordered it here, and I see many reviews about the dents but it did not effect the contents, it was not broken open in any way. the case comes in a box, it has those bubble pillows around it, but its heavy so I think dents will be part of the process, but its so much cheaper here on Amazon even if I had a few I cant use I am ahead. see my photos of the product out of the can if you want to know what it looks like, its a ground smooth food. the higher protein count in this food VS the last lower price stuff means I had to cut back on the feeding portions (or cut out her treats or have a chubby pup) I just cut back her portions and she did gain weight which she needed. she is now at a healthy good weight and is happy.

A rescue that we were fostered came to us with specific dietary needs to battle a yeast infection. Wellness Core dry food was a part of his daily menu. We've been feeding our dogs Merrick canned food forever. The quality of the dry Wellness Core impressed me enough to add a can of the wet into the rotation. While still happy with Merrick's food, I found the Wellness to be every bit as high quality and, if I had a need, would be comfortable switching our dogs to it exclusively. With Wellness' different flavors, I'd be happy to keep a couple in rotation with Merrick's. Unfortunately, the Wellness cans require a can opener. I know it's not a big deal to use a can opener, but having cans that pull open are my preference. It's not just ease of opening, easy open cans are a tremendous help when feeding three or four dogs singing and dancing for breakfast. For now I'm passing on canned Wellness in the rotation, but I'll keep checking and waiting. When Wellness comes in easy open tab cans, I'll happily buy again.

I used to get the weight control to add to dry food for both my dogs, in order to add water to get one of my dogs to get a little more hydration. They both scarf it down and lick to bowl to get every bit. But one of my dogs, my boy, has been throwing up with some consistency for a couple months. My vet recommended switching to fish based food so it would be easier on his stomach (it wasn’t till I ordered these that I noticed that chicken was the top ingredient over fish, though may be less that the combination of the seafood ingredients). Well, from the moment I open the can my girl went CRAZY! And every time I got the can out and opened it up she went crazy! She LOVED it. (Both my babies love food of any kind, and my boy showed no difference in how much he liked this over the other variety. He still did his happy spin and then scarfed it down, licking the bowl of every drop.) I was hesitant to order through Amazon after reading reviews about multiple cans dented. But not one of mine was dented, and it seemed fresh. In fact the other variety was ordered through Amazon with no issues either. And with the addition of this mostly seafood based canned food and salmon based dry food, my boy hasn’t thrown up in a couple weeks, where it used to be 1-2 times a week! I hope the amount of chicken in the whitefish variety is not enough to keep my boy’s stomach issues acting up. 🤞🏼

My dogs love this wet food! Definitely on the pricer side, but well worth it for the ingredients. We also don't use all at once, 1 can lasts about 3 days -- just make sure to cover and place in fridge. We also mix it with our dog's dry food to add more moisture.

There is a lot of debate about grain free dog food. However I have found, it’s mostly false marketing that grain free is all bad. It all depends on the ingredients in grain free dog food! This canned food is safe, easily digestible for my pups and has the best nutrition they need! It makes their coat shine! In combination with salmon oil, and Nutro brand kibble and a scoop of Spunky II, they all preserve well for storage and they all work when you may not be able to afford Farmers dog or other alternatives! I suggest Milk Bobss to go along for teeth cleanliness!

Dogs love it. Added to regular kibble as a flavor enhancer for older dogs. Works and keeps my old girl eating happily.

I feel good feeding my pups this food. One of my pups has a bad heart so anything to strengthen his heart and that he enjoys I am willing to try. All 3 of my pups love this food especially my yorkie who has no teeth. I mix it with the dry kibble.

While I'm sure it's a great food, as my dog loves other flavours of it, he won't touch this fish flavour.
