Awesome.
The plot of the book bring two central hero of the author about half way down as they race down together after the bad guys to stop a bomb. I will recommend this book to the fans of the author and the lovers of the thriller books.

Payback
This book was quite intriguing about a lady called Tina who was a cop going to Manila to get revenge on her boyfriends death meets up with the man who supposed to kill her and pals up with him instead. Together they go over the Philapenes on a roll a coaster going into child rings and other things until she reaches the person she wants to get even with. There is quite a lot of violence in this story and twists the ending is something else suspenseful all the way through

More than lived up to expectations!
Oh yes, this was definitely a brilliant end to the trilogy. Everything nearly gets wrapped up in this novel but what a journey to get there.Teaming up with another police officer who happens to be female was not his best idea, especially as he had been contracted to kill her. But this works really well as the pair have to get after and kill an evil man in the full sense of the word. A man who was presumed dead from the previous book.Really enjoyed reading this series and will be seeking more reads from this author.

Payback for what?
This is far and away not the best book this author has written. It seems rushed, padded and dull. There are, of course, very good sections within the book where the author writes his action sequences but, in fact, it's all a bit posed, almost as though his characters were cut out of cardboard and were standing in front of him as he wrote. As for the story, well, it does seem as though Kernick is trying to tidy up loose ends, Dennis Milne has featured in some strongly written stories, ditto Tina Boyd. But put the two together and it's just so unconvincing, you wonder what possessed him to write this book. I suppose he's guaranteed a big number of sales based on past credibility but, I for one, will be hard pushed to buy another one. If I find a swap or a library book, then I'll chance it in the hope that it is much, much better. It seems odd, too that there are so many pages devoted to recapping on the past histories of the two protagonists. Remove those and it would have been a thin book. Then there are the supposed to be creepy criminals. One by one, they are discovered and justice is meted out which then prompts several pages of moralising as to why some should be killed and others not - or, if they were killed, how much angst should our ex-cop feel about it? Pity, really, it deadens the pace, irritates the mind and makes you want to flip over the pages. Who cares, it's a fictional story with hardnosed characters? They're meant to do this, surely? So, if you're a fan, well, it's fifty fifty you'll enjoy it. If you're new to this regime, it's a pity because it's short-lived.

Good but predictable!
I have read all of Simon Kernicks book so looked forward to reading this installment as it brings us back to meetng Dennis Milne. He used to be a good policeman, but then he turned into a killer for hire. Here, he's doing what he does best and his path crosses Tina Boyd - a woman obsessed with finding the murderer of her lover. She ends up in Manilla and Dennis is supposed to kill her, but doesn't.The story is then a tale of them running for their lives whilst trying to find Wise, who turns out to be a weak peadophile. Naturally, the ending is very predictable and I sort of wanted the last few chapters to finish to be honest.I did enjoy this book but did feel it was a bit too cheesy for me.

Completely Compelling
I am absolutely heartbroken at the end of this book. It always amazes me how reading a book can make you feel this way and this book has certainly done that. I have read all three Dennis Milne novels and I am so blessed to have read them all. Dennis Milne is a character I will never forget and even though he was certainly no angel as the author puts it you really emphasise with him because ultimately he is only trying to do what is right. You can understand his reasons. I can't tell you how much I have loved these books and I would recommend everyone and anyone to read them. They are compelling. Thank you Simon Kernick.
