Voice Recorder - 288 Hours Long Time Continuously Record, 2500mAh Battery Long Standby - Strong Magnetic Portable Sound Recorder Device for Interview, Meeting, Lecture and Class

wanted a recorder that I could place under my desk to magnetically.... not the most ethical? but wanted something to keep conversations with my clients in case there were discrepancies later. found this after looking around for a while and figured i'd give it a try. The voice activated recording mode works really well, but some caveats. there is NO display on this thing, and all the more detailed settings are controlled with a text editor... that... well that makes it slightly confusing at first, but worth it, as you can set the bit rate, the file type, the volume and more, to really dial in the functionality of this thing. it was all pretty well explained in the text files (included on the device's internal memory) and I got it figured out relatively quickly. The included headphones are a nice touch, but useless for me, as I mostly just drag and drop the mp3's onto a folder and listen to them from the computer. overall, if you want a daily voice memo recorder, this ain't it... but if you want something that, like for me, has a really long battery life and can be set and forgotten about for an extended period of time, this thing works!

This voice recorder is very low profile. Without knowing better you may assume it’s just an external hard drive. There is only one button on this voice recorder. You simply switch the modes in order to record or to listen. Unfortunately there is not any interface on the recorder to give you indicators how how the recording is going. It isn’t until you sync it to your computer that you are able to see this. The quality of the recording is very good and picks up on noise readily. This is perfect for someone who is looking to record without it being obvious that they are doing so. The recorder is very light weight and small.

I like all of the things I purchased it for. However, it does not download to my computer files because it is in some other format. I’m not computer savvy enough to figure it out. But, if you are, it’s a great compact little recording device!

When I first received this device it seemed to work as advertised, although the voice activated recording seemed to have a very low sensitivity and so picked up almost nothing. As noted in other reviews there is no interface on the device, just an on/off switch and an indicator light, so all of the settings are controlled via a text document on the device that is accessed from a computer. However, just past the Amazon return deadline the device ceased to function as a voice record, as the memory card on board appears to have died and is no longer readable. Given the price point I would assume the components are fairly low quality and would not expect this to be particularly durable, but your mileage may vary. On the other hand the battery does last quite a long time, and should it fail on you as mine did it can also be used as a very expensive power bank through the USB A port on the side.

Voice recorder I got this for my husband because he got dementia and cannot always remember what Someone told him but says I got him the voice recorder he cannot remember if somebody says something to him he can always record it got excellent sound quality very easy to use excellent battery life highly recommended
