The magnet stregnth. I have a average phone with no case and the phone falls off the holder if bumped at all because the magnet is weak.I also noticed my phone drains faster when on the magnet and charges slower.How far out away from dash the device sticks out is annoying, every time my hand goes anywhere near the phone on the device it causes it to knock off, especially since the magnet is so weak.

I respect safe driving so any hands free device is good for the car. It's very durable and safe.

I am an avid user of my phone in car. As in I listen to streaming music (online radio stations) and use Google Maps as Navigation. This obviously requires me to mount my phone somewhere in front of me. Initially I had a windshield mount works fine but since I have an iPhone, whenever the temps are high and the phone heats while it is baking in sun, it would go into emergency mode and become unusable. In order to mitigate this problem, I initially got a simple magnetic air vent mount. At that time, it was the best thing since sliced bread for me since It allowed me to put my phone directly on the air vent so it was getting constant cold air so no problem with it heating.The problem with that mount was it was pretty simple without any neck for movement or changing angle of phone. This meant that phone was always in slant position which was not exactly the best thing for me. Then I got another similar mount with an adjustable neck and that helped with the issue as now I did have phone in straight facing position. But a problem prevalent with both these mounts is that they will turn the AC Vent flaps down due to weight of the phone. So you always have a downward blow of air through that vent. In order to mitigate these issues, I finally got this CD Slot Magnetic Mount.Concept wise, this is same to other air vent mounts. You get 2 magnetic / metal plates, the main magnetic unit / holder, CD slot unit and additionally you get 3 different sized spacers. I want to mention here specifically to first time users that, do not use the spacers until you actually require them. I tried first and after inserting the mount in CD slot, I thought It got stuck. I am using it without any spacers. The description advertises that the fastening mechanism is just a small lever as against other mounts which have screws. I haven’t used other CD slot mounts so cannot comment on that but the level mechanism is definitely very good.The fit in my Camry’s CD slot is perfect (without any spacers) and even on bumpy roads, although the mount jitters, it doesn’t fall down or make phone fall (strong magnet). As you can see in the picture, I have a magnetic plate (from a different mount) sticked in the back of my Moto E. But my primary phone is an iPhone so in that I am using a plate in between the TPU and hard outer shell. The description claims that there is no issue with running a CD inside with the mount there but since I do not have any CDs nor I ever use the CD player, I cannot assert or deny this claim. But yes if you frequently use CDs then you will see yourself removing and putting back the mount often. Not an issue at all for me as CD slot is unused in my car. I would definitely recommend this type of mount over the direct on the air vent ones, as one, these won’t stress the air vents with the phone’s weight and most importantly for me, the phone is more near to me now which allows better controlling (don’t do this while driving).*I received this product at a discount to provide a honest and unbiased feedback. the Xugoly Universal CD slot magnetic car mount holder for cell phones is a great solution for holding your phone when on the road. The mount installs in your cd-slot and easily clamps into place, this mount comes with 3 different spacers to fit varying sizes of cd slots, however I found these unnecessary to get a perfect fit. The angle of the mount is easy to adjust, which allowed me to adjust my phone for the best view.The mount comes with two magnets, a round disc which can be placed between your phone and case, or a rectangular magnet with an adhesive backing which you apply to a case. The magnets are extremely thin and lightweight but work exactly as described. The rectangle magnet did not work when placed between my case and phone, I tested it out, it didn't work.My first thought when using the mount was that I didn't think the magnets were going to be strong enough to hold the phone, I was wrong. I drove 60 miles, part over a very bumpy and poorly paved road and the mount worked exactly as described.Negatives, and they were not noteworthy enough to reduce the rating. The phone when resting on the mount obstructed the view of my display screen which in turn meant the view of my back up camera - this wasn't a big deal, I removed the phone and could see fine. This is a huge advantage to a mount that cradles your phone which would require more effort to uninstall and reinstall your phone. This mount also has the potential to block your air vents, however the model of the car will be the deciding factor here, I had no issues.Overall I'm impressed, I like the ease of installation, I like the angle at which my phone sits, the quality of materials. The best Magnetic Car Mount.The product is very thoughtful on how user use. The only down side is that the instruction may be hard to understand. If they have picture instruction, 'that will be a plus.But it is not a big issue, the product has great quality and very stable on the CD mount.I really don't have to worry that my phone may fall off from mounting.Overall, I am not regret of getting this item at all!I received the product at a discount rate in order to provide my honest feedback.

This CD player mount does exactly what I expected it to. Both magnets which are included are strong and held the phone well. I was able to fit the thicker one, the rectangle, between my phone battery and the back of the phone (LG G3) and still have it close, and put my clear plastic case over top, and it still sticks well to the base magnet. Easy to take on and off of the CD player for usage and locks in place so there is no movement. Definitely recommend!I received this product at a reduced rate in exchange for my honest feedback.
