You may need to be a very good painter to get a perfect finish using this kit
You may need to be a very good painter to get a perfect finish using this kit. I tried my best. Wife and kids sent away for the weekend. Faucet and drain removed. Tub scrubbed twice, wet sanded to remove shining finish in fiberglass. All caulk removed. I still had areas where you can see roller lines, areas where the roller picked up paint and put down paint boogers in other areas ( I went back and wet sanded boogers out, then buffed with a good quality automotive buffing compound. FYI - I did buy good rollers to use with epoxy paint), and some areas where the white was heavier. I used my LED headlamp for most lighting possible. If you stand about 6 feet away it looks good. Even taking a bath, it looks fine, but if you really look at it, you'll notice what I mentioned above. So far, about 5 months and finish has held up well. I had an almond, 1 piece, 3 wall fiber glass shower/tub. The white tub/walls really brighten up the bathroom now, especially with a recessed LED light in the ceiling above the tub. Took 2 kits to cover, and I used it all. CAUTION - MUCHO FUMES - I had exhaust fan running the entire time, 48 hours. Bathroom door kept shut and towel jammed under the door. After 2nd coat, it just wasn't enough. No window in bathroom. Finally had to open a few house windows and get out box fans. Use a good quality respirator like I did or you'll be short some brain cells afterwards.

Amazing product
I have a fiberglass shower stall that was a "classic" beige color. We wanted to update our bathroom, and brighten the whole thing. I did my research on the process and products available to refinish the stall. I came across a third party site of a professional bathtub refinisher. They rated this as the best diy product for refinishing. I bought the double kit for a single shower stall.Prep work is key. If you think you are done, do more. I used a blade to first scrape as much scum off as I could. I then used scrubbing bubbles bleach and a scour pad. I followed that with undiluted CLR and a scout pad, and finally used Bar Keepers friend with bleach and a scout pad. I used that rotation of cleaners three separate times. I made sure all caulk was removed from everything. Overall, prep work took 3 days to do. I then used a random orbital sander, with 100 grit paper and sanded the entire tub. When that was done, I used a sponge, lightly dampened with TSP to remove the dust, and followed that up with a tack cloth. For the application, I used a high quality, high density foam roller. Making sure that it was kept adequately saturated with the finish throughout. Work quickly, even strokes, keeping a wet edge, and watching for runs as you go along. I let it thoroughly dry, about 4 hours. Applied the second coat, and let dry for 24 hours. I applied a third coat to even the whole finish out. Make sure you have plenty of positive ventilation, and a mask meant to filter fumes. Expect the odor to linger for several days. We waited 72 hours after the final coat to run the shower. The result is perfect. Bright, high gloss white, that looks like I installed a new shower stall. The biggest part of the work is in the prep, but DO NOT cut corners. Only negative comment is it that has an extreme odor. But prepare for that and it's manageable. And it's just the nature of an epoxy. A very small price to pay for saving hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.

Performed as described
Followed instructions, prepped the hell out of the surface, product performed as described. Ordered the double kit to do tile and tub, which was exactly the correct amount. Finished with a very small amount (maybe 1/4 cup worth) left over. Used many rollers as the enamel causes the foam to exfoliate as others described. I think I ended up using ~ 6 rollers for the whole project. Used a respirator. Fumes were prominent for ~3 days, but tolerable with leaving the vent fan on 24/7 for the first few days. Impressed with the finish. I recommend following the provided instructions to a "T," they were spot on.

but it is looking so good. We did not need the double kit just ...
Took alot of work and doing without a tub for a while, but it is looking so good. We did not need the double kit just for the tub, one kit was enough. But we will have another kit on hand if we need it.

new life for old tubs
A good option for old bathtubs. We have an apartment building with 1970s colored tubs. This product goes on easily and seems durable. I like the fact that it dries overnight unlike other products we have used which take 72 hours or more. You do need to work quickly because it does dry so fast. Scrupulous prep is important.

Save your money
Bought the double kit thinking it would cover all or most of the tile in small bathroom and the tub. Coverage isn't nearly as good as Tough as Tile that I got at Lowe's for $100 less. After using both, I have seen no benefit, at all, in spending the extra money for this application.

Poor Finish
I used the product to resurface a standard fiberglass bath tub. I used to paint cars and boats and followed all instructions exactly. The material did not self-level (as advertised) and "orange-peeled" badly resulting in a poor finish. Do not recommend.

IT SUCKS...DO NO USE
This product really really sucks I do not recommend it to nobody at all whatsoever use this product exactly to the T on the instructions .... and one year later is Chippy really bad peeling at that... nobody ever use this bathtub because it's a spare bathroom figured I'd really like the Rust-Oleum product that cost me $20 on our main bathroom which gets used every single day and still has not 1 chip i would figured this would be a lot better I was wrong super wrong
