The Black–Scholes–Merton Model as an Idealization of Discrete-Time Economies Paperback – Illustrated, 19 September 2019

I do not come from a math background; however, I purchased this book with the intention of furthering my knowledge of the intricacies of the Black-Scholes Merton model’s economic significance and mathematical brilliance. The book is very well written, and I found the qualitative subject matter quite interesting. However, I soon realized this book is beyond my pay grade and mathematical understanding.Despite me understanding next to nothing from my endeavors, this book taught me a very important lesson: namely, the algorithmic dominance of modern finance has lead to unnecessarily complex models and has effectively obscured a significant element of “market forces” from the general public.
