The content for practicing is good, but shipping is really disaster
This is the 2nd edition of the practice book.Minor updates to some questions. The book's quality or reprint quality is really much much better now. The pages of 1st edition are nearly transparent. However, the book is seriously torn and ripped when arrived.

Excellent Maths homework
The school lessons and homework (evenat private schools) are never enough to maintain their knowledge nor challenge what they have learned. This book is comprehensive and our daughter is doing it everyday - her results are outstanding. She just finished Year 2 in school and she started using these books (Book 1) since Reception.Apart from contents and volume, the good thing is that this book is printed in black and white. It looks boring to kids but it gets them more focused on the questions rather distracted by the colourful pics.Downside is that a few graphs and pictures are difficult to distinguish between the dark grey, grey, light grey colours (due to the b&w printing quality) and I can't do the counting myself - the exercise is supposed to do the counting but end up it turns into an exercise to distinguish the shadings!!Also, there are a few questions which are not clear / well interpreted. In general, it is a very good book to boost the maths results.

By far the best practice book for mathematically above average kids
There are lots of questions, well organised according to topics. The questions gradually go deeper, therefore stretch the kids. Pages are well planned so that there’s sufficient space for the workout. Plenty of (but not repetitive) questions to pick out all the weak spots - exactly what the kids need to build a solid foundation. Some multiple choice and fill-the-blanks questions are a bit boring and too definition focused, which are quite off putting for the kids, but overall they’ve really tried to keep the questions interesting (by keeping them challenging and therefore satisfying rather than by being “child friendly”) to engage the kids.My boys are top of the top set for maths and I am certain they wouldn’t be where they are without this book. Be warned though: be prepared to invest time and “nagging energy”, and some parts are hard so you need to hold their hands to get through, but to me, it has been worth it.
