I added these to shoulder straps, I usually carry a large backpack with at least 28 LB of weight, they it make much more comfortable carrying for long distances and more than an hour. I've not noticed them making the shoulder area significantly warmer on hot days. I highly recommend.

I bought these when I upped the weight on my weighted vest. Was comfortable up to 20 lbs. These solved the problem.

These are working great. I have small shoulders and the backpacks that I use tend to hurt the tops of my shoulders. These alleviate that issue. I would have given this five stars if the Manufactuer could figure out a way to keep them in place better. They don't shift while hiking but when you throw a heavy pack on the tend to shift some and you must adjust them. I still would not leave on a hike without them.

These pads were a lifesaver when added to my backpack shoulder straps. I hiked the Camiño using a 22 lb pack for two weeks and the added padding alleviated the discomfort of the straps digging into my shoulders.

Works ok, the only problem I got is the straps don't get where I want them and move all the time and I constantly have to put back on the right position. Will be good if have some kind of velgro to avoid to move that much.
