The Amazing Spider-Man Worldwide 2

This Is Why I Stopped Reading Marvel
When I first got into comics I was a kid and leaned Marvel. I loved Spider-Man and X-Men. I then discovered Batman and Superman. I noticed a big difference even then. Marvel books seemed to jump into the middle of a story every time so I had to grab the last one to understand what's going on.And Marvel still does it. Peter Parker now is a businessman and in Shanghai but the Zodiac stuff came outta nowhere. Another thing about Marvel, they're so boring. It's an equivalent of a 30 min cartoon show for kids. I can summarize this book in a minute.I've seen Spider-Man the Animated Series episodes with more plot and better plot to it. This was slow at first, then rushed and sudden. Negative Man one second, then Zodiac. Neither felt well planned out. It was just they are suddenly here.THIS BOOK SUCKS. It did have some funny Spider-Man jokes and I enjoyed it more than Tom Holland Spider-Man. This Spidey is smart and figures things out without the Avengers.

Don't love Peter Parker as Tony Stark
I'm still not in love with this Tony Stark-esqe version of Peter Parker. I liked the Mister Negative story but the Zodiac tale fell flat again. And it looks like we haven't seen the last of Scorpio. I'm still intrigued by where the book is going and Dan Slott has proven he will produce. The art was beautiful by both artists. Overall, a good read but still missing that spark.

I like where Peter Paker's life is at, but the stories he is in during this volume weren't that interesting.
Collects Amazing Spider-Man (2015) issues #6-11I like seeing Peter Parker in a new type of role (rich, running his own international company, isn't as socially awkward anymore), but the stories that this new Peter Parker was in during this volume weren't that interesting. Kind of interesting, but not a lot.As with Volume 1, Spider-Man is still working closely with S.H.I.E.L.D. (specifically Nick Fury Jr. and Mockingbird), but Prowler was completely absent from this book.I was sort of interested in the Zodiac as a villain for Spider-Man, but I recently read a volume of "Avengers Assemble" in which they took on a completely different group of supervillains called the Zodiac. Because of that, I was a little thrown off by the use of the name here (and in Volume 1). Are these two groups connected? Is one an extension of the other? I'm not sure.Mr. Negative returns as a villain for Spider-Man as well, but now that the mystery of "who is he" is long over, his character isn't very engaging as a bad guy. It also feels like the rules for the effects of his drug, called Shade, have changed since the last time it was used.Cloak and Dagger appeared in this collection as well, but I would have benefited from having a quick reminder as to what they were up to the last time we saw them. I've read almost every Dan Slott-written "Amazing Spider-Man" story post-"Brand New Day," and I can't really remember the last time we saw them. Because of that, I didn't know why they were acting the way they were acting in this collection. All that to say, I was definitely disappointed by this volume, but have high hopes for the upcoming storylines "Dead No More" and "The Clone Conspiracy" (unless these two titles are synonymous for the same story, in which case I just have high hopes for that one upcoming storyline).Final rating = 3.5 starsSPOILERS FOR THIS COLLECTION:-I'm not really buying the potential love connection between Spider-Man and Mockingbird. They would be a very odd coupling.-This volume really amped up the feeling that Dr. Octopus' return is inevitable.-It is really stupid that Peter would so quickly want to give Lian a second chance after he found out that she was a corporate espionage mole, especially considering that she tried to murder Spider-Man along the way. I hope this is the end of that relationship, otherwise, how could we still respect Peter's personal life choices?-I did enjoy the teases as to what will be coming during the next year of Spider-Man's life - Regent, a new heroes Civil War, New U, Norman Osborn, Monsters on the Rise, Skyspears, and Dr. Octopus.POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR "THE CLONE CONSPIRACY" - MORE OF A THEORY, REALLY:-Knowing that the Man in the Red Suit is going to be the villain in "The Clone Conspiracy," my theory is that he will turn out to be Ben Reilly (the former Scarlet Spider and former Spider-Man). This would really bum me out because I love Ben Reilly and I want him to return as a hero, but him returning as a villain actually makes much more sense. My wishful thinking is that he will start out bad during the storyline, but then repent and be a good guy again by the end of the story. Maybe it is just a simple misunderstanding?

Some of Slott's best
The story really ramps up quickly and I love where Slott is taking it! Spidey fans can't pass this up!

Pretty good! A lot better than the first volume
Pretty good! A lot better than the first volume, and I enjoyed the appearance of Cloak and Dagger, but still that high tech gadget stuff for Spider Man that I really dislike. Overall decent though.

Epic funny
I lol'd really hard at the bit where Spider-Man sings 'wrecking bald' by hannah montana. That was really a funny and just plain awesome monent in this comic. Everything else was unreadable garbage but that one moment was such an #epic win that it made up for it.
