Dean VMNT Dave Mustaine Peace Sells Electric Guitar

I tried to buy this item three times from Amazon, and all three times failed. First time was a huge paint chip off of the headstock and missing strap locks. Second time it got lost somewhere between the warehouse and UPS (Hmmmmmmm). Third time, large chunk of paint on the headstock was chipped off, again! I finally wised up and bought from a seller that was an actual music store that knew how to pack a guitar so it would arrive in one piece and was even cheaper than Amazon's price. BINGO!!! This is an AWESOME guitar. Active pickups that just sing. Mahogany body and SET mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard and mother of pearl dot inlays. And of course, the Peace Sells graphic. This guitar is a work of art and sounds phenomenal, especially for the price. Dean has done a great job with having their lower price (but NOT lower quality) guitars made in Indonesia. This is not my first Indonesian Dean and the set up has always been great, with no loose screws or jack plates. The only Dean that I've had any problems with was the United Abominations VMNT and it was made in China. Now, just three more Dave Mustaine Deans to complete my collection. As I tell my children, a man can NEVER have too many guitars.

Great guitar for the money. Easy playing, great sound and well worth the investment. Great as a beginner guitar as well.

Purchased on a Thursday at 10am and received the next day by 1pm. Everything about this guitar is perfect. Nicely packaged and free of any damage. Graphic is awesome, tuned it and started playing. After an hour of playing Megadeth jams it's still in tune. Overall I'm very impressed with the guitar and Deans in general. I'm forever sold on Dean's.

Very, very nice and sounds great. The only negative these are supposed to be made in Indonesia (better wood) but had a sticker on the back that said made in China.

Really solid guitar considering it's lower standing in the price spectrum. An awesome purchase especially for fans of Peace Sells/Megadeth.

The guitar itself is amazing would give this rating 5 out of 5. Love the graphics love the sound inexpensive as well. The reason I gave it 2 star is that I bought this guitar at almost $500 and it went down to $400. I asked for the price difference and amazon wouldn't give it to me because they don't do price drop guarantees, only on Tvs. I noticed everyday that the price of this guitar was dropping at least $30 from when I purchased it. I lost $100 which I could of easily saved. This is the only thing that I'm disappointed with. At $400 get this guitar it's amazing for the price. Just watch the prices when you do it might change on you.

I'm not going to complain about the price like some people....cus that has nothing to do with the quality of this guitar.....if prices change shortly after you buy something on Amazon, contact their customer services, they will refund you the difference....I've done it....end of story. Now, on to this monster slab of a metal guitar!!! I have 4 of Dean's Dave Mustaine guitars, 2 of these (yes...2) VMNT PS guitars, a VMNT RIP and the Mustaine Zero Trust. The PS is very comparable to its higher end sister RIP with the only real noticeable difference being the Seymour Duncan Live Wire pickups, ebony fret board and the mother of pearl inlays in the RIP and DMT Active pickups rosewood fret board and dot inlays in the PS. Although not as bright and punchy and thrashy as the Live Wires, the DMT pickups sound great, the fret board is nice and fast as lightning. The rest of the specs between the PS and RIP are the same. Great bridge...stretch out your strings tune em and this guitar will stay in tune. Oh and of course the Iconic "Peace Sells.....But Who's Buying" graphic...sharp bright catchy, VIC definitely catches everyone's eye. Not a flaw to be found. Dollar for Dollar you can not beat Dean guitars. And like I said I have 2 of these....I liked this guitar so much I bought a second as a backup.
