Under the Bed Storage Trunk with Wheels

As the headline says, make sure you actually measure before making this purchase. I have a decent amount of clearance under my platform bed, but the trunk is just a bit too tall to fit. That's not a fault with the product, just a note.The 1 star loss is because of the "lock" on the trunk. There is a lock and key, yes, but not a key with grooves or a lock with tumblers. The "key" is simply a key-shaped piece of metal with a few barbs on the end to grip the "lock's" slot better. The lock is easily opened with a flathead screwdriver, butterknife, coin, or any other thin, flat object. Simply put the object in the slot, turn, and it's open. The lock might be enough to keep a toddler out of the trunk, but that's about it. Almost anything else with enough intelligence and dexterity to open the latches on the trunk will have no trouble getting past the "lock." So if you plan to store anything that needs to be secured in any way, make sure you buy a separate padlock. Calling what comes on the trunk a lock is just barely this side of the line for false advertising.

It was too tall for under my bed, but I knew that before I ordered as I had measured. No worries, it fit good in the closet. I like that it has wheels on one end, which makes it easy to maneuver. I also like that it is roomier on the inside than it looks from the outside. It is lockable. There are two keys, but I opted for an additional padlock.

Poor quality but adequate for basic storage. Poor hinges, poor latches, poor wheels, poor handles, panels made of of pressed pulp (cardboard) and not assembled well. It’s good to keep the honest people out of your stuff but, even locked, it’s flimsy.

Exactly the size I needed for my Facepainting kit. The only thing that worries me is the strap, which seems like it would break soon from the constant traveling. The weight is a concern but nothing I can’t handle. It’s the best alternative I have found, and far more affordable than the fancy cases available to facepainters. I wonder if customization is possible?

The trunk arrived ahead of time. There was no damage to my trunk. It was exactly what I was expecting based on the description and images. I recommend this product. It does lock but you can also use an additional small padlock (not included) for extra security.

BUYER BEWARE. Far too large to fit under any bed with an actual bed frame, and they force you to send it back at your own cost, which will run almost the full price of the item ($100+) just to send back. Unbelievable, absolute trap of a purchase.
