VIN Armored Trunks - Rouge Destination (Gray)

decided to keep this, I'm thinking the smell will dissipate over time. for now, it sits in my clean garage with the lid open. I found other areas to store things for now.Con-1 The odor is overwhelming. it travels about 1 foot and dissipates. the odor is only an issue when you first open the lid after it's been sitting. WOW, rubber chemical smell is enough to set you back OR wake you up lol.Con-2 there is no handle for the lid. which the competitor trunk has... but that is more expensive than I was looking to spend at this time and purpose.Con-3 the latches are good in concept but small and the metal seems to be something that you can bend and break if not careful - know what your doing, go slow and your fine. or in my case, don't use them ;-)Con-4 there are minor scratches and marks, not to mention where riveted together they bubbled the covering off nearby. If you are expecting perfection, most likely you won't get it. if not a decorative piece ... who cares right??mine is in the back so no biggie.Pro-1 tuff box! I think my house could fall on it and it would protect the contents.Pro-2 looks cool! yeah, wheeling it to my garage got a lot of people checking it out.Pro-3 price good for what I got. I say this also since big box, heavy and amazon shipped it on prime... shipping would have been expensive for sure.Pro-4 wheels are solid! handles are solid! Good job guys! hard to get box with strong wheels & handles.hope this review helps someone. bottom line, don't buy this thinking you can use it right away without airing it out for a long time... and consider the handle not being there. If your useing this daily lack of a handle might make you want to rethink.If I'm going to use this everyday, I will add a handle myself.hope one day the smell dissipates.Good luck!

Great quality and stylish . Bought for son’s dorm and transport was nice. The smell is the biggest draw back. Nothing would get rid of it but vinegar. Aired it out in sun. Sprayed it and smell lingered. Ended up storing dryer sheets in it and it worked.

It survived in a trailer full of footlockers and duffel bags, the trip took over 7 hours. No damage. It also survived my son’s 3 weeks summer camp. Everything in tact, now my spouse will be using this trunk as a photography prop.Wheels were very handy. Handles on both sides were very convenient. The trunk itself does not feel very sturdy, but will survive if you use it as an occasional bench or a table. It is not meant for jumping on it, lol. The locks were tricky, but one needs to practice on how to open and lock it, after it is very easy.The soft liner inside the trunk was a nice touch. No nails or screws sticking out at all.Also, this trunk stands out from all other trunks, it looks way better than any other traditional trunks.

I got this for my husband and he really likes it however it didn't come with locks and I bought a lock and it doesn't fit the holes , the wholes are small, can you recommend a type of lock that will go through those holes? Preferably one that is sold on Amazon so I can order it

We were disappointed that when we opened this delivery there were several scratches along the frame. It did not look brand new.

I gave this trunk 4 stars. The size is great exactly what we were looking for. It is very strong and my Son can use it as extra seating in his dorm. The reason for 4 stars in stead of 5 is because there was a very strong odor in the trunk. A "new" smell. I didn't like this at all. I decided to keep the trunk because he needs the storage it offers. I tried different things to lessen the odor. It only helped a little. We are hoping over time that the smell goes away. The trunk looks good. We purchased it in silver. I like that you can lock it if you'd like too. I do recommend this trunk.

It costs a little more than the average foot locker, but it's worth it. I love that it has a rubber lining. It locks easily and looks great.

For the price, this trunk is great quality. I did a lot of looking around before stumbling on this product...a trunk that I could afford that also was decent quality. The wheels come in handy.
