I purchased the 875 and 872 knee braces in medium. I am 6' 1 200lbs with relatively skinny legs. The medium fits me best. I play hockey as my main sport and wanted protection when skating and any unintentional collisions (non hitting league) since thats how I got hurt in the first place. I do not plan on having surgery as the mri showed a high grade ACL tear but no other issues, no meniscus damage and no signs of arthritis. My doc and PT recommended a brace for any strenuous activities. I personally find myself using the 875 brace more often with high intensity activities. I find that the 875 is more supportive than the 872 but also more restrictive and less comfortable. When playing hockey though my goal is injury prevention, not comfort and through the break in period and once the hype of the game begins, it does not bother or hinder me. I do feel like if I were to select a brace for say tennis or racketball (a non contact sport) I would choose this brace, the 872 for its mobility and comfort (and it too offers great support). I have decided to keep both braces and use them both in separate scenarios. The $50 or so on amazon is the cost of the copay to get sized for a medical grade brace and I was told to expect a few hundred on top of that for the brace itself.

I’ve used many neoprene slip on knee braces and Shock Doctor is the best! I play goalie in hockey and I play baseball and golf, fantastic support and very comfortable. Quality product that will last. Highly recommended. Make sure that you measure properly to get the proper size. This time I needed extra support, I bought the 872 with sidebar support. Good luck!

This product is fantastic!!After dislocating my knee playing football, I had my leg in a full splint which didn’t allow me to bend my knee and was told that I’d be off my feet for 4/6 weeks..After a lot of research into leg braces I kept coming back to this one.. it’s a little pricey but honestly it’s very much worth it!This brace stops my knee from buckling and after a week and a half of the leg splint from the hospital I moved onto using this brace and it’s speeded my recovery massively and I’m back walking (with the help of a crutch) in just two weeks! My knee feels incredibly unstable without this and wouldn’t be walking on it without it!!When I was looking into this product, a lot of the reviews were mentioning the size chart and to go a size bigger than what you measure.. my knee came to 34” (the bigger size) of medium so I got a large.. it was very tight to begin with but now it’s broken in it’s spot on!! Also to help anyone else out with the size chart I’m 6ft1 - 13st - athletic build.5-STARS

Scrivo questa recensione dopo aver provato il prodotto su sentieri di montagna. Avendo il crociato anteriore e il menisco con una frattura a manico di secchio, non potevo più godermi passeggiate in montagna, in attesa dell'operazione.Il tutore mi ha aiutato a percorrere 3 km di sentiero di difficoltà media con 200m di dislivello. Il ginocchio lo sentivo molto stabile, sia al livello di stabilizzazione sia lo scarico di pressione sul menisco, le stecche, anche se non estraibili, aiutano nella camminata.La taglia è perfetta in base alla tabella delle misure data.Sono pienamente soddisfatto dell'acquisto.
