Golf MK7 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 Wing Mirror Glass Heated with Backing Plate Left Hand Side

This was great for replacing my heated wing mirror glass when it came unstuck. I’d never had to do it before and expected to have to take it to a garage and have an expensive bill. I googled it then found these mirrors and people saying how great & easy to fit they were. I took a chance and so glad I did! They’re almost identical to my originals and were so easy to fit, it literally took me 2 minutes to pop the old one out, swap the wires to the new one then pop it in. So easy, and works perfectly, would highly recommend!

Great cheap replacement for my wing mirror that decided to drop out whilst on the move. There is a metal spike that comes with the product that needs fixing into position, I found this a bit fiddly as it's understandably a tight fit, a few taps from a small hammer seated the spike in it's housing and from there on it was a 30 second job to attach the mirror to the car. I am happy to reccomend this product.

Slight differences between this one and the branded VW original. The one on the ground is the branded one. The silver bit sitting in the middle on the photo on the right needs to be attached to the outer ring before fitting. It has a protective film on one side of it that needs removed too. Can’t knock it for the price. I only give it 4 stars because mine arrived chipped. Likely damaged before it was packaged because there was no fragments in the packaging. It’ll do for now. Word of warning, if one of your original mirrors falls off due to old age, the other side will soon follow so buy both left and right if you can.

I was dreading having to replace the mirror, as I wasn’t aware this was a known issue for heated mirrored cars. If you move the mirror towards the car before attempting removal it’s so easy, I popped it off and knowing I’d forget which wires went where I took one out and popped it in the new one before taking out the second. Getting it clipped back in wasn’t difficult, I made sure I moved the wires out the way and after 3 attempts I was able to pop it in easily. There’s obviously a slight difference compared to the original, the slight zoom on the edge is not present but for me it’s better than driving around with no mirror at all, so no complaints.
