Q: will this eventually patina like real copper?

Q: Does this patina cover silver solder and make it copper colored?

Yes- it gives it an antiqued copper color- just follow the directions on the bottle-it works well!

Q: Can this patina be used on both lead and lead-free solder?

I've used it on both and it worked fine.

Q: I'm seeing conflicting reviews on whether this works well for lead-free solder. I'm making jewelry, so really need to use the lead-free with patina.

I cannot speak to lead free, but I use 60/40 tin to lead to solder copper taped stained glass. This stuff works really well IF, once soldered, the piece is washed thoroughly in hot soap and water. Very coppery. Otherwise no.
