Twisted Love - Special Edition Paperback – 22 April 2021

I really enjoyed this book great characters and lots of twists and now I’m going to read the rest of the series

Easy to read with a nice mix of plot and spice!

Twisted Love by Ana Huang. I didn't know what to expect from this read, I saw a lot of bloggers and book reviewers that had read this book, and I was seeing it everywhere, then my friend recommended it to her for a book challenge she was doing. So I decided to give this a go. This is my first time reading a book by Ana Huang and I absolutely loved it. From the first page I was drawn in and intrigued straight away.This book was an emotional rollercoaster of a read, Ava is the happy and sunny woman, who sees the good in everyone. What I loved about this book, was that it's a two-pov story between Ava and Alex, and getting both sides makes it even more better and exciting. I love when authors do that. But underneath the happy and cheery Ava, there is a devastating past that she has to live with if she could remember. Alex wow wow, Alex was definitely an interesting character to get to know and oh man does he have his secrets. He agrees to move in next door to look after his best friends little sister, and put this way Alex isn't the happiest of people, he looks at people and they run, you don't want to get on the wrong side of him, but Ava seems to be the only one who can get under his skin, and his her complete opposite. They both have their darkest pasts but can they save each other or ruin each other.Twisted love was spine-tingling and emotional all at the same time. I love that it had mystery included, I love working out mysteries and who did what. There was something always happening, the love and the build up of Alex and Ava relationship was done to perfection. I devoured this book once I started it. I will be reading more of Ana Huang's books in the future for sure, I can't wait to dive into Twisted games. I'm looking forward to returning back into this world.

I did enjoy this story greatly. I love intense, passionate romances, and that's what this story was. The characters were very real and written beautifully. The author is a very good writer. That being said, there's a reason I give this story 3 stars and not 5. I hope I don't put anyone off this book. It is a good read! Here goes:- Alex's mysterious background and connection with everyone and everything just seems so unrealistic. He has connections to the president and British royalty and has his own clean up crew to bury bodies - sorry for the minor spoiler but you'll find out from the very start that Alex is a very dark anti-hero character. This book was basically a mafia story without the involvement of the mafia. All his extra curricular activities and knowledge of knowing everything just seemed really unrealistic is all I'm saying. That leads me to my next point.- Alex's dark past and his continuous illegal activities poses the question how can Ava and him be together given that Ava is the complete opposite of him. I get that she loves him and makes him a better person and he is a good person at heart, but there's so much more to relationships than love. Like having the same morals. Ava is shown to be really soft hearted and kind so how can she be willing to be with someone who resorts to violence so fast? - sorry now I just sound like I'm really invested in this fictional relationships, but hey, that's a testament to the author's brilliant writing and characterisation.- Another reason for the 3 stars - I very much enjoy spicy books, I mean come on, it's part of the reason why we all chose to read this, lol. That being said, I like romantic spicy scenes, I get that sometimes it's all action and some enjoy reading those scenes, but this novel was only ridiculously objective spicy scenes. It wasn't emotional enough, even when it should've been after big romantic outburst and speeches. And also some of Alex's choice of words in the bedroom were very vulgar but I guess it just wasn't my cup of tea and some may enjoy it.I hope I didn't deter you from reading this book. It is a good read with a good plot. I just wanted to be honest to give some insight to the next reader.I hope you enjoy this story x

I have heard about this book and was curious to read it. I have to admit, it wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be, but had some dedicated chapters to it. Lots of twists in the story made it interesting, I wish we had seen more of Alex and Ava’s comeback after the year apart, it felt like last chapter they got together and that’s it, happily ever after. Nonetheless I enjoyed their story, and curious to read the next book.

Loved everything about this book and I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read more. Just hope I find something as good as this.

This book got me into reading. BEST BOOK EVER. CHAPTER 22. ALEX VOLKOV AMD AVA CHEN FOREEVER

Was good but the only reason I bought it was because I bought the second book not realising it was a series :(
