A science history book that added to my technical understanding
I really liked this book. I have a science background but the historical perspective provided by this book (who were the big thinkers, their situations and their creativity) really added to my knowledge.

Clair, intéressant et très lisible
Excellent.Ne pas se fier au titre racoleur, c'est un livre bien écrit, et une bonne introduction à la thermodynamique.

In incomplete history of thermodynamics.
This is a history of thermodynamics. What is unique about this is that it deals with the latest happenings in detail. But I was surprised to find Myer's name in the first law of thermodynamics.Writer did not see many primary sources.

Great introduction
This book is a great introduction and has a refreshing attempt to explain Entropy in a new way - not the usual 'A measure of disorderness'. The author is a really good writer and it is evident that he has made a thorough review of historical and scientific sources. Highly recommendable.Personally, I find the text too smooth; no formulas, very few diagrams. I think the average reader of this book is able to comprehend a little formal science. This would have released star number five in my rating.
