this will be my hair dye until i die. makes a pretty dark purple that fades to this reddish tone. very strong red undertones, so keep that in mind. it is very strong smelling. make sure it’s plenty ventilated in the place where you’re dying.to the young people dying their hair: hair dye will stain grout and some tile, so be cautious when applying it in your parent’s house. if it gets on the counter or floor, wipe it up asap. stay punk 🤘

I like my hair to be blackest black and this is the darkest dye I have found. It is easy to follow the directions. Just make sure to do a strand test and also to use the correct developer strength m. I used 10vol since the hair was already very dark brown.

Hicolor has been my favorite for a long time, I have dark brown hair and always worried about frying my hair trying to bleach it. Ive used this brand for red and it looked amazing so now I’m using it for black. This didnt stain my hands or my bathtub at all during the process and my hair is completely black all the way through. The smell is very strong but it’s not that bad compared to regular ion bleach. Just a warning though, if you dye anything over red it will show up under sun light!!

Didn’t come out violet at all…. Hair is a dull dark copper red now … everyone keeps asking what happened to it…I’ve used their red before and had no issues but wanted a violet shade… not continuing them again… I don’t know if it’s because it’s a new batch since I had to wait a couple of months for them to restock or ones they found sitting collecting dust somewhere… super upset…

Best dye long lasting super dark

Provides NO lift--don't expect your hair to be violet. I have used the Red and Magenta for years and they provide enough lift to get true colors, but not the "true violet". I only intended to use a little to provide more depth to my red and it work well enough for that by combining it with the Red and Magenta.
