WOW, I just love this cutting ruler, it is now my go-to ruler for cutting, it stays put when you want to cut something, that is because of the rubber pad on the bottom side. I fell in love with it the first time I went to use it to cut some Foam-core material. It worked like a champ and was so easy to use. Definitely give this a shot, the markings on it are very easy to read and when you put pressure on it as you start to cut, it stays put and the blade follows the straightedge like a champ. Great cuts each and every time. I highly recommend this product, definitely give them a try.

I use this for work on the go all the time. Despite being aluminum, it has not warped at all. It is still perfectly straight and accurate as day one. And it can be used as a straight edge. I use it for marking aluminum flashing.

I liked this ruler for cutting paper with a utility knife on a mat. Although it has a non-slip strip on the back, it does move slightly, which is my only complaint. Other than that, it's great, feels high-quality, and it's cool that it is made in Japan

Got this to replace my Logan Adapt-A-Rule for basic mat cutting (not bevels). It's much lighter and thinner but is solid and has a great non slip backing. Way cheaper than Logan, I'm happy with it so far.

I bought this and a Pacific ruler on Amazon, since I couldn't really choose looking just at pictures, descriptions, and reviews. No question this is the better ruler for me. It is thicker, and I like the feature of a thick cutting edge. It is easier to read, and just seemed like better quality, even though this was Aluminum, and Pacific was stainless. No contest for me, the Shinwa was the best, hands down.
