Do you have to use every day? Buildup? Protective barrier really work?

Hello: Our Boston Terrier had a very serious allergy issue when we used it. We applied two to three times per day, kind of as needed. How often would probably depend on your pets condition. There is no build up, it is a fine mist and dissipates rather quickly. We applied just enough to get the top of the fur lightly wet. It does work great. The itching immediately would stop. Odie would be on his back wriggling around trying to scratch his back and as soon as this was sprayed on, he would stop. This would give you some idea as to how often to use by how long it takes for your pet to show agitation again after an application. We used this through his worst time and give him a 10mg Zyrtec daily to help control his allergy issue on a long term basis. We keep it on hand though to use when he shows distress of itching, which is not very often but it does happen. I hope this helps.

Hello I used it all over my dog who had the worst skin I had ever seen. It works well. If you have a question a quick call to your vet should answer your question. It did help him a lot. Sorry to say we lost him to something else. He was 14+ years old.

Can this be used after a groomer trimmed too short in the hygiene area of our Cavalier? She is licking at that area a lot.

I would be very sparing using it. It could burn a little but will quiet the itching. Or to be sure call an ask our vet they could give you a simple way to help your poor girl.

Try something else!!

Cheaply bottled. Extremely expensive for the quantity and as far as I can see does not actually work. The instructions on the back of the bottle are not in english so can’t even read how it should be used. Not impressed at all.

Great stuff for temp

This will not cure diseases or anything else, but the great thing about it is that it will calm down the skin if you’re not able to do a lot of colloidal oatmeal masks. You can mix colloidal oatmeal with Aztec secret it’s a bentonite clay, but you have to mix it with the colloidal oatmeal organic mix to make it softer on the skin so the dog is not highly alerted or the animal. Anytime you want to introduce a chlorine or acid like treatment you want to make it easy and if the patient is not super severe where they are at a hospital and you’re allowed to do it at home it is nice to do this.

Helped my dog’s itchy skin

This spray really helped me get my dog’s itchy skin under control. The smell is fine and not overwhelming. The directions were easy to use. I found this to be easier than bathing my dog with an anti-itch shampoo when he doesn’t really like baths. This was quick, easy to use, and didn’t ruin my relationship with my dog by trying to bathe him when I know he’s not crazy about that!
