I’ve been using this product for years on blind faith
It is almost impossible to get any “real” information on dog probiotics, so we dog owners have little choice but to rely on the information on the packaging. My last dog had these probiotics pretty much every day for his entire life and managed to get through 12 healthy years with only a few bouts of non-specific diarrhea (all of which required antibiotics to clear up). Do these probiotics get the credit for his good health? I don’t know for sure, but the information on the label certainly makes this brand sound more complete than most other brands, and the price is reasonable. Compared to Purina FortiFlora, which seems to be the go-to brand recommended by vets (for no reason that any vet has been able to articulate to me), this product contain far more strains of probiotics, far greater CFUs and costs significantly less. I’ve tried FortiFlora, and didn’t notice any different results between using that brand vs. NWC.I have used these probiotics with and without the NWC enzymes and did not notice a difference either way, but again, I went on faith and gave the enzymes with the probiotics most of the time.5 stars.

Solid poops!
My two year old German shepherd has somewhat of a sensitive stomach and can get watery poops. With this, his poops are solid! Haven’t seen any negatives, he’s a picky eater, but I mix the powder into his wet food and haven’t had an issue with him eating it.

The best Probies
So far these are the best Probiotics for Cooper! His poopers are normal now since I've been giving him this stuff. If I take him off or forget to give it to him... YES I can tell in his poops!!! GOOD STUFF

Not sure if it helped my cats. Try Denamarin for 'mushy' stool.
I used this probiotic on my 2 cats for yearrrs due to lifelong GI issues which began from the day I brought them home from the shelter as kittens. I used it more as a prophylactic...couldn't hurt, right? I didn't notice any improvement in their stools, but one container lasted a long time. It also comes with a scoop. What I found to relieve them of stinky, mushy piles of mucousy stool (or liquid diarrhea)...after COUNTLESS, even expensive COMPREHENSIVE stool tests, including a test for tritrichomonas...was Denamarin, also available on Amazon. It was a MIRACLE that no vet has yet been able to explain. They would only need 1 or 2 trips to the vet a year MAX after I started Denamarin, with the very first normal, odor-free, solid stool starting within 24 hours of the first pill. 3 1/2 years of nightmare stool gone overnight...literally.One cat has since passed away from a GI cancer at the age of 9 1/2. I wish I would've continued Denamrin daily with him, but he was never as sick as my other cat, so I only gave him Denamarin daily for 3 months. I continued to give Denamarin daily to my other cat. I also fed the cat that passed a lower-quality canned cat food (Wellness). The cat that got the sickest...panting, pacing, vomiting, then heading to the litter box...I fed Tiki Cat canned cat food. The cat I still have was recently diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis and kidney disease, at which point I switched from this probiotic to Azodyl. Azodyl MUST arrive cold and is expensive, but it's supposed to help kidney disease. I still continue his daily Denamarin. He has problems with constipation now...mucousy constipation, if that makes sense?...likely due to an electrolyte imbalance involving his kidneys. Pumpkin has helped some with the constipation. So I would recommend this product as a 'prophylactic'. I did refrigerate. But if you have a cat with chronic, unexplained diarrhea/loose or mushy stool 'piles', I highly recommend trying Denamarin. Don't automatically assume it is caused by a food allergy, no matter what they tell you. It was an INSTANT miracle for BOTH of my cats. Denamarin allowed them to eat any flavor of canned food, no problem.I will always have regrets that I didn't continue the Denamarin on the cat I lost. Also, feeding him a lower-quality canned cat food than my other cat. I honestly believe a GI virus is involved or perhaps flukes. Tritrichomonas is also very hard to detect, even by PCR testing. It was definitely a contagion.I hope this post helps anyone who's hopeless in getting answers to the possible cause and treatment of chronic diarrhea/loose mushy stool piles. Denamarin gave my cats yearrrs of relief. Also of note, never assume a cat who usually gobbles his food in one sitting and then begins to pick at it over 15-20 minutes has suddenly become 'finicky'. Also, never ignore straining or black stool (saw a couple of those). Struvite crystals are also something you shouldn't ignore as it can be evidence of something called Tumor Lysis Syndrome...the mass die-off of cancer cells in a short period of time. God, I miss that cat. Worrying now about the boy I have left.

Especially good for pets with renal (kidney) issues
Our cats have CRF (renal failure). I have read several veterinary articles discussing the potential for the gut assisting the kidneys with removal of wastes from the bloodstream when the kidneys are not working well, as with CRF. For this to happen, the flora of the gut needs to be "tip top" and nothing is better than this probiotic product with 14 different kinds of good bacteria, a pre-biotic to feed the gut bacteria, PLUS a delivery system to ensure that the good stuff gets to the right place. The stomach contains hydrochloric acid that is important for digesting food. It could also destroy the good bacteria before it gets to the intestional tract. These people have added a "delivery system" to ensure the good bacteria gets where it needs to go. This addition "LEADS" (Live enzyme activated delivery system) includes the enzymes Amylase (to break down starches), LIpase (to break down fats), and cellulase (to bread down cellulose, plant fiber). There are two billion CFU's (colony forming units) per scoop (included). These strains of good bacteria are all human grade. The suggested amount to give is 1 scoop per cup of food. With renal failure, two scoops, according to my holistic vet. It is especially important to give probiotics when pets (and people!) are receiving antibiotics, as this will help to balance and normalize the gut flora and keep the good guys in the majority. Since pets with renal failure tend to get more urinary tract infections than more healthy pets, they may be taking antibiotics more frequently and therefore it is especially important to keep them on this product. The product will keep at room temperature. Mine came with a year exp, date. If refrigerated, add 6 months and if kept in the freezer, add one year to the exp. date. This company makes a wonderful line of people products too.

Stinky farts are gone!
Second purchase of this product. I own a French Bulldog and they are known for passing smelly gas. My Cooper still passes gas but there is thankfully…no more odor! Cooper could clear a room before we started using Total-Biotics. This product is in his diet forever
