A Best Buy
If I were writing this review for Consumer Reports I’d rate this product as a “Best Buy”. That is, a good combination of price and performance. The ceiling light cover is made of a thin, rathy flimsy plastic, but when mounted to the ceiling with the trim ring, it looks like a more expensive fixture. The light output is about 1200 lumens (equivalent to a 120 Watt bulb). If this is too bright for the location you plan to install the fixture, you can use a dimmer switch. The only caution I’d give before buying, is to check the “color temperature” of the fixture you plan to buy. Warm White (3000 K) lights have a yellow tint, similar to an incandescent bulb. Cool White (4000 K) lights have a blue tint, similar to a flourescent bulb.

Exactly what I needed once I ordered the correct color temperature
I bought this to put in our recently renovated bathroom to go above the toilet and shower area. I ordered the wrong color at first because I did not realize how big of a difference it would be. I ordered Daylight and should have gotten 3000K Bright White to match the rest of our house. The 3000K is a color temperature in between Soft White & Daylight and I love it. Not too cool or too warm. We’ve had LED fixtures before and I’m a strong believer that is the only way to go. No more changing bulbs. Love it.

Love these lights
I bought 4 of these - one for a hallway, two for our kitchen and one for a small bathroom. I got the 4000 brightness and it's very bright! I can't imagine how much brighter the 5K would be. We updated a bunch of lights in our house from the dome style ones to these and I'm happy with the change. It gives everything a more modern look. These really brighten up our kitchen without making everything look garish. I had these installed professionally so I can't say what the installation ease is.

Replaced Hanging Bulbs with Pull Chords
The light's lens is made of plastic. This is my only, small, very small bitch. However, given the price point this is a very small complaint. If I had not installed the light I would not know. I liked the TWO lights that we purchased so much that I ordered two more.
