the other answers are probably right. It is not light weight, flimsy materials. It is well crafted and beautiful. My niece loved it and she is about as picky as they come. It was well worth the money I paid for this, especially as my niece loved it so much. It was her college graduation present so I wanted something really special for the occasion.
