I was pleasantly surprised by the solid construction and size
Honestly, I expected these to be plastic and a gimmick. Surprisingly, they arrived promptly and were metal with a working stylus tip and stamped “SmartTouch” across the tool (see pictures for size comparison with average auto key). The touch screen displays at the local pharmacy has a touch screen display that asks 6 questions and has you sign electronically for your prescriptions. Of course, it is broke and literally written on the screen are the instructions to “Use the stylus” that is attached by a cable. No thank you.Having a tool that can prevent me from touching the stylus at a pharmacy during a pandemic, then use it for opening door and grabbing the plastic bag’s handle is worth it just for this one monthly use. I would keep it in the car to use at a rest area to touch anything in the bathroom and then wipe it down back in the car, but it will probably be attached to my EDC bag as a stylus and ATM button pusher to keep my fingers from directly touching the machine. Will it save your life? It might, if it makes you more thoughtful about what public surfaces you touch during the Pandemic.I can at least say for this specific version of this tool (which I see many others) this is made well and will survive the pandemic longer than the cheap plastic contactless thermometer I spent $60 dollars on. And in the end it makes a nice hook to hang on to my keys that will outlast the worst of this.

Updated review
Love is thing, but the rubber tips feel off. This was a known issue and company sent replacements to me. A+for great customer service. Wish all Amazon sellers we're this good.

Durable
These are metal and therefore very durable. However, they are also much heavier than listed. I bought these mostly so I could add one to my lanyard and use them to open doors at work (I'm a librarian so a lot of high touch surfaces). Unfortunately this opener is heavy and very uncomfortable to keep on the lanyard while wearing it.

Good Idea, But ...
This invention is a good idea, however, it gives us all a huge false sense of security. You must be aware that it picks up all the bugs it touches. Therefore, avoid touching things and wash your hands with soap and water often. Maintain your distance from people and properly wear your mask.My only technical compliant is it should be a little wider at the hook end. Maybe 3 or 4 milli meters to hold verticalwide handles better/securely.Sorry I could not rate it higher.

Awkward Design
This is a sturdy tool, and I wanted to like it. Unfortunately, it didn't fit into my hand comfortably. The key ring attaches in exactly the wrong place and not only makes the hook difficult to hold, it also digs into your palm. Honestly, it seems like the hook was designed backwards. If you hold the opener /tool in a way that feels comfortable, everything is upside down. I'm a little disappointed, but I'm going to look for a design that fits me better.
