There are five different pics with this particular model, and each pic has a designated purpose. The intent of each pic is explained in the instructions. So, on the surface, I would say the unit is designed for one person. However, it could possibly be used by more than one person if each of those persons requires a different type of pic. For example, two of the pics are tiny, soft brushes. So perhaps one of you would need/prefer a brush, and another person might need/prefer a curved pic. I only use 1 or 2 of the pics myself because those are the pics that meet my personal needs. Hope this information is helpful to you.
