Love the scent.

I have been a fan of Lebel hair shampoos and conditioners for some years and always used to buy them in Japan. i am delighted that i can now buy them through Amazon online. The Marigold and cypress ones are also very good. The large container is convenient.

Absolutely amazing shampoo for normal to oily hair. Leaves hair silky smooth and soft. It is hard to buy Japanese products directly, and these huge bottles for the price are a great deal.

I honestly had no idea what Marigold smells like when I purchased this product. I searched online and I read the opinions…… found out that it is (supposedly) an odd smell that many people strongly dislike while some other people totally enjoy. Didn’t seem like there was much middle ground. In other words, there didn’t some to be much neutrality regarding the opinion of the smell. Love it. Or hate it. I figured what the Hey! Let’s take a risk and go for it! At a minimum, I’d be adding something very unique to the growing collection of natural, cruelty free products I’ve been assembling to generate a variety of choices in my “Shower Wonderland” (see photo). And if I didn’t like it, maybe my guests would.Well…it arrived. And I totally love it! The smell is totally unique!! And the scent does remain post shower/shampoo. It cleanses hair extremely well and lathers up into a rich, foamy, delightfully abundant cleansing force. And while the scent lingers, there is no residue left behind afterwards. It rinses out fully and leaves hair and scalp feeling wonderful.The Marigold, aided by the Chamomile, smells floral while not being sweet, “citrusy” or “woodsy”. It is indeed unique. I picture myself in a beautiful English garden that is tended by an eccentric, down to earth (yet tastefully sophisticated) caring older woman.The real surprise (and unexpected delight) doesn’t come from just the lovely smell and imagery this shampoo brings to me. It was the realization that this shampoo induces calmness and serenity when I use it. Seriously. It creates a bit of a meditative state. I was driving to a destination for work two hours from home after using it… And I was so tranquil and centered!! I could smell the Marigold & Chamomile and deduced that it creates a calming effect. I looked it up later online…and turns out that Marigold & Chamomile can in fact create that ease and peacefulness that I experienced. That is just a spectacular development and a huge return on the risk I took in purchasing. I experimented two more times and I experienced the same effects. Great shampoo for using just before going to sleep. Or just for relieving stress during the day.The only drawback I can think of (and for me I consider it a good thing) is that if you don’t like a strong, lingering scent after shampooing…this is not the right stuff for you.
