We have a 6' wide french door in our kitchen.. we didn't want to use blinds as they tend to be very "clinky" when you open and close the door.. this screen fit with our design style (Asian Fusion) and blocks the door when we need and quickly folds out of the way when we want to let the light in.The construction is solid and it's fairly stable if you properly zigzag the panels - though there is room to get creative in layout if you need

I really love this divider, but I'm very lucky we have a covered porch. The lacquer smell was so strong when it arrived that we could not keep it inside. I started coughing right away. Left it on the porch outside for 4-5 days and finally the strong smell dissipated.I did learn about the writing on it. A good friend informed that it is a poem by Chinese poet Ouyang Xiu (1007-1072). The artwork and materials of this bamboo screen divider are truly lovely. The bamboo slats in the screen make this divider seem more substantial and sturdier than those made with paper screens.There are, however, a few rough patches on parts of the frame that were not sufficiently sanded before the sealer/finish was applied or were scuffed afterwards. You only notice them when looking closely or touching the rough areas.The height is shorter than advertised. When I set the divider up, I noticed immediately that the height seemed shorter than it was advertised to be, so I got out my tape measure. I measured the height to be 68 and 5/8 inches instead of the advertised 70.9 inches. The measured height is sufficient for my needs, but be aware of this discrepancy if you need a specific height.If the manufacturer and vendor had paid more attention to quality control and the accuracy of the advertised measurements, I would have given a 5-star review.Even with the minor flaws mentioned, this is a bargain, a worthwhile purchase, and worthy of a 4-star review.
