Life in Colour with David Attenborough

A wonderful film like all the other David Attenborough productions, Highly recommended

As usual, discs which bears the name David Attenborough, not to besmirch hit brother Richard's films, are of high quality and great to watch and learn from. As you expect the camera work is top notch and Attenborough's narration is always interesting. On Blu-ray these episodes looks quite stunning. Get yours now.

As ever, the one and only wildlife narrator achieves another hit. But even though he is so wonderful and makes the facts easy to understand, credit must also be given to the filming and innovative technology. Having been a Biology teacher for many years I thought I knew a lot of the ways in which colours are used in the world of nature. But I was wrong. All the items were fascinating, especially the flies leaving the zebras alone, and the marvelous snails with their kaleidoscope of colours. Sir David has such a pleasant relaxed way of educating people that I wish that the series had been longer. Quality television.

As usual, another excellent documentary by the master of all nature films David Attenborough. There is no one else in the world to produce films on nature of the same quality as David Attenborough.He explains how various animals use colour for survival and also how different animals perceive colour, often in a way far different from our perception.An excellent documentary, well worth having both for its aesthetic value as well as its educational value.

I would say no more than that this is fully up to Sir David's best, but must add that whilst the the original Netflix series was three episodes and near three hours this is as per the BBC version and just under two hours. I don't know what's missing but I would pay for a copy of the whole thing. No, I don't want to subscribe to Netflix as I've looked at their schedules and there's less than 10 hours per annum that would interest me.

Another stunning nature programme presented and narrated by the wonderful national treasure of Sir David Attenborough.
