For starters I like what Super-2-Daily minimizes. It includes no iron and only 70 mg of calcium. Its 2 mg of copper will be roughly half consumed as my body utilizes its 15 mg of zinc.Carlson otherwise does not skimp on this multi. You see other multi brands talking about their synergistic combination of nutrients. It is true that some nutrient combinations naturally support each other. Nevertheless, when it comes to nutrition less usually is less. A recommended daily allowance is not necessarily an optimal amount for everyone. The logic behind Super-2-Daily is that more is more. Carlson got it right.Super-2-Daily probably would be my only supplement if I was young, in excellent health, got plenty of sun exposure and ate a balanced diet. I am none of the above. After switching to Super-2-Daily I was able to eliminate or cut back on other supplements:• I'm taking 2,000 IU less of vitamin D.• I've eliminated my former zinc+copper supplement.• I'm taking one less boron, one less fish oil and 1 less magnesium per day.• I eliminated my former selenium supplement.Although I haven't done the math, I suspect Super-2-Daily has lowered my supplement bill in addition to simplifying my supplement protocol and giving it a firm foundation.The capsules are an inch long and not difficult for me to swallow. The smell and taste are acceptable given all the nutrition packed inside.

I've been taking Carlson 2 Super Daily for over 2 years now. I was thrilled to see that Carlson has changed the packaging on my last order, so I thought I'd leave a review to let people know of the changes. It may take time to move through all of the old inventory available on Amazon though. Although the smell of fish oil will never go away, it's much better than it used to be. The capsules don't seems to leak as much as they used to. In fact, in my last order, none of them leaked at all. I've taken multivitamins my whole life, but until I had Carlson Super 2 Daily, I had never woken up the next day feeling better. When I forget to take this vitamin, I can feel the difference. As far as after taste, everyone is different. I experience it, and it doesn't bug me. When I take it with a meal I never notice it. IMPORTANT: Keep this in your fridge and it will help keep it fresh. I fear many people are dealing with an extra strong smell because they do not keep it refrigerated.

Our compounding pharmacist suggested this brand of vitamin years ago. It absorbs into the body efficiently and gives a full variety of vitamins and minerals. The Omega-3 aspect may leave your bottle smelling a bit fishy, but ignore that knowing you are taking a well-rounded vitamin.
