We've been using this for a week now and the dog loves it, it does work and he feels noticeably cooler to the touch after lying on it - it's really helped him through the recent heat spike. He's had a little scratch and the material hasn't torn or anything and remains strong, it seems to be pretty resistent and good quality at least so far.I'd recommend it and so would our cockapoo

Bought the large cooling mat and it fits both dogs on with loads of space to move around and they love it on hot days! Very heavy so doesn’t move around and does the job! Highly recommend

Why did you choose this product over others?:For the size, primarily. It is larger than most, as is our dog. It's perfect - put your bare feet on the mat and you'll feel why the dog loves it. I've reduced my star rating by one because of the following: You will be invited to scan the QR code printed on the box, which I assumed was for a warranty. One that is done you'll be asked for your name and then credit card details. I've no idea what the benefits are, but the small print below says that after 3 days you'll be paying £40 per month unless you cancel, with no refunds.

Great cooling mat and quiet large.Both our labrador and pomeranian love it and spend most of their time lay on it.So far it hasn't been chewed by them.Great product , would highly recommend this especially during the summer months.

Dog loves it, keeps her really cool! The only disappointing thing is, it’s clearly been returned as it has mud stains all over it! Overall happy that it works but disappointed that you pay full price for an item that is second hand and dirty!

Why did you choose this product over others?:This mat was more expensive than others we have bought but after reading the reviews we decided to give it a try. Glad we did as this is very good quality and not filled with liquid as some are. We got the XL size for our 1yr old 50kg Rottweiler and we are happy with the size. He enjoys it!

This is an excellent product which I would recommend. I purchased one of these mats for my elderly and sick Glen of Imaal Terrier, he had been getting out of his baskets and lying on the hard floor. I made the assumption this was because he was too hot. He loves the cool mat and sleeps on it all day and night. He has recently become incontinent and has weed on the mat, I have had no problem washing it off and drying it. I have now ordered another mat as a spare so he is never without one to sleep on. Thank you Pecute for a product that has made my old dog more comfortable.

I bought this during the summer heat wave in order to help cool a growing labradoodle puppy. It did not seem to offer any cooling properties and I returned it for a refund. The vendor was good in refunding without any issues.Appearance and purposeThe mat looks as you might expect and how it is shown in the product photos. It came folded and was simple to upack and lay out. It is intended to provide a surface that dogs lay on to aid cooling.EffectivenessFrom the start, my dog was not interested in laying on the mat. I managed to get her to lay on it, but only by bribing her with treats and even then she quickly moved off to lay in her other favourite places. In that regard, it did not seem to offer her any relief from the heat and she was certainly affected by the hot weather.Cooling propertiesTouching the mat, it seems to be a stable temperature like the ambient temperature in the room. I have solid flooring of laminate and wood and these types of surfaces seemed to be a similar temperature to the mat. My dog voted with her paws and sloped off to lay in other areas to escape the heat.DurabilityI did not keep the item or use it for any length of time. It seemed well made enough and could be folded down again if needed. I would worry that if the dog started to chew at it she might be able to pull it apart, but I did not keep it for long enough to see whether this would be an issue.ConclusionOverall, it did not seem to be any cooler that floor surfaces. Maybe it would help to dissipate heat from the dog if she laid on it, but she did not have much interest in doing that. I returned for a refund and made do with damp towels on the floor, which the dog seemed to prefer laying on.
