Q: Is the brim(under the fabric) cardboard, plastic, or something else? Anybody washed it?

It feels like cardboard but to be honest, it is a lightweight hat and the brim is firm but not very substantial. It is Not ‘floppy’ by any means but not quite as robust as the typical baseball cap. I’ve not washed it and would be somewhat concerned about durability doing so.
