The best education bass book I have bought in the past 40 years!
I believe Ariane is one of the best Bass educator's out there. Just like her first book 'Music Theory For The Bass Player' this is immaculately presented, it's precise, well structured and superbly explained. It's an absolute god send for anyone who is serious about becoming a proficient bass player. This method of learning patterns and shapes will provide you with an incredible understanding of the entire fretboard whilst learning major/minor scales, triads, chord progressions through plenty of exercises, homework and complete with over 100 videos.

Another great offering from the wonderful bass Maestri
Another great offering from the wonderful bass Maestri, who offer un hindered their collective knowledge for the advancement of other members of the bass community. It is layed out in easy to understand and use patterns 😂 that will help bring on any one who partakes of this wonderful compilation.I would suggest buying it in a set with the Music Theory for a Bass player, as they are compiled to give the best knowledge and understanding of the Bass Guitar possible.Ari and Wolf are humble and generous, the most helpful Maestri I have come across

Game changer
I've been playing bass for a long, long time. Mostly self-taught to a point where I have held down gigs in bands of wildly different genres. The missing piece of the jigsaw, for me, was to understand what I was actually doing when I improvised a bass line, or learned a bass line to cover a song. This book, along with Ari's previous 'Music Theory for the Bass Player' has started to fit those tricky pieces of the jigsaw together. It's a challenge, you have to put the work in, but one of the best things about being a musician is that it's always a challenge. With these books the structure you need is there, so that your learning is focussed and they're just the motivation needed to never stop learning.

Stellar sequel to Music Theory for the Bass Player.
I came across Ariane Cap online completely by accident back in 2017. It transformed my learning and playing. I bought a copy of Music Theory for the Bass Player and learned more in one book than I had learned in 5 years of lessons and self-tuition. Can I humbly suggest that if anyone out there is struggling then you need to look her work up and start using her training materials - I cannot say enough good things about them. This book builds on the theory book and continues with her trademark style of utilising shapes, mnemonics, optimal fingerings. It covers a set of Five Shapes that can be used all over the fretboard to enforce your knowledge of the instrument and your confidence will increase as you progress. The book is designed as a workbook; you need to follow through the exercises without jumping about, but Ari & Wolfs writing style is truly clear and a lot of fun. They even have a little helper with them this time... a classic metronome with attitude to match. I suspect it will take me longer to become Black Belt at the Pattern System than I have been playing so far, but I am going to enjoy the journey and I know everyone else who is serious about improving their mastery of the Bass Guitar will too. This is just my personal opinion so your mileage may vary ,but I only really read 2 bass books now and they are both written by Ari Cap & Wolf Wein.Enjoy, I know you will!
